Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Well, I found this ad on Craigslist for a customer service position in San Jose,CA a few days ago. The ad said no experience necessary and that training will be provided. There was no other information about the company other than a phone number.

I called and was told to come in for an interview the same day. I have been searching for work for some time now and this was my first interview in my search. So I arrived at this "company" a few hours later.

First of all, when I got there there were about 9 other people there waiting to be interviewed. We all filled out their application and the "Branch Manager" came out to introduce herself. She told us that everyone was entitled to be interviewed one at a time but due to lack of time she called us in in groups of 3 to be interviewed.

She then asked if that was ok. So we go into her office and she starts talking about the company and so on and so forth. She also said that there was a couple of positions open.

One was for a receptionist and the other was for "Entry Level Management". She asked us all 3 question each and told us that we would be contacted later that day to see if we were selected to come to a second interview 2 days later.

The interview was very brief and they didn't even ask anything about work history or what our duties were. I thought that was kind of weird. How can they determine who comes back for a second interview based on the little information they had on each individual.

So I went home and sure enough at 5:30 that same day I got a call from the "receptionist" at Synergy Management saying congratulations you have been selected to come back. She sounded so fake and was more excited than I was about the whole thing. After the call, I did some research on the company name to try and figure out what kind of company this really was.

Thank God I did. As soon as I went to Google and punched in the company name I saw Synergy Management: Ripoff Report. At first I thought I spelled it wrong and hoped it wasn't true.

Sure enough it was. I am not going to attend the second interview tomorrow after reading these reports. I am thankful and glad I did my research.

According to these reports, Synergy Management misleads everyone into thinking they are applying for a great position when what they really want you to do is sell some cheap perfume on the streets. I would advise anyone to do some research before you get your hopes up about a company that is truly a scam.

If it is not a scam why not sign your name to the statement you made.  The only reason would be that your the boss there, well one of them.  Everything i write i put under my name because it means nothing if there is nobody to take credit for it and defend it.  I know what i say is true, therefore i have no need to be secretive.  I worked for a company like this in SD when i was a teenager.  Now i'm quite a bit older and i know about companies like you.  I was sure then and i'm sure now YOUR ARE LIARS.  I'm not crying about it, i just believe that if your offering something soooooo good, WHY WOULD YOU HAVE TO LIE ABOUT IT!  What do people make there now, $2, $5 a bottle they sell.  You say you supply the merchendise for free, RIGHT! you offer to let people sell your product, mind you they don't make any money unless they can jack the price up.

TO SUCCEED AT SYNERGY- ONE MUST LIKE TO BE PUSHY, LIKE TO PEDDLE SH@!# LIKE A STREET VENDOR, NEVER NEVER TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER EVEN FROM KIDS, HAVE SAVINGS CAUSE YOU WON'T MAKE ANYTHING FOR 3-5 MONTHS, LOVE TO BE LIED TO- THEN AS THE FINAL GOAL- YOU ACTUALLY GET TO DO THE LYING YOURSELF, BRING IN PEOPLE WHO YOU KNOW WON'T MAKE IT, AND ARE BROKE AS IS. YOU GET TO LIE TO THEM AND MAKE MONEY OFF OTHERS FAILURES.

WAAAAHOOOOOOO

CHANCE OF A LIFETIME

Maybe i'm a little angry, but companies like you make me sick.  If  i were you I couldn't look in the mirror and be proud that i scamed some more teenagers(well close enough) to believe they were gonna make money.  when the whole time i knew i was the only one that was ever gonna come out on top.

I am very sorry for anyone who gets lured into a situation under false pretense.  If a company cannot honestly inform you or any prospective employees of what the job actually involves is a scam.  Synergy Management SHAME ON YOU! You put an add out for a receptionist position, but your not even looking for that.  You have people who are unemployed, down on their luck spend money on gas and waste time to come out and interview when you could just be honest and lay it all out over the phone.  You claim to be weeding out the people that can't hack it, but they never intended to come and sell perfume, THEY WANTED A CHANCE TO APPLY FOR THE POSITION THAT WAS ADVERTISED.   How can you honestly say that your company policies are not fraudulant.

Secondly the main way this company makes money is to sign on as many people as possible.  Then get them to sell to their family, and friends.  Of course they're excited to hire everyone.  They make money off you coming on and then quitting!!!!!!!!!

To the person who wrote the rebuttal: You sound intelligent enough to see the facts here.  Please just think about what i've said.  In the rare chance your are part of the 1% that opens your own office.  HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT MAKING YOUR MONEY OFF LYING AND MISLEADING YOUNG PEOPLE WHO ARE JUST TRYING TO SURVIVE.   Just try to pull this stuff with somebody who's a little older alittle more seasoned.  They would laugh in your face, and walk away from your so called "chance of a life time"

I wish their was a law against preying on people they way you do.  I would surely be the first in line to turn you in!!!

Thank You

   Liz

Synergy Managment is NOT a fraud....

Reading peoples reports about Synergy Managment makes me laugh... Honestly people I know for a fact that this company is NOT a scam or a fraud... I did my training and got the job done. So yeah they call you in and give you a group interview. They see your application and resume. They know to appreciate people who seem interested in the opportunity. Then if your lucky they call you back for a second interview. Once you have should that you can handle that, they call you in to start on Monday. Now here is were people become babies, quit and then talk crap about a company they say is a fraud because they couldn't hack it. They teach you from the ground up how to start your own business and it includes starting from labor work all the way to office work. 6-8 weeks and your set. I have seen first hand what the business is about and I have seen people open their own offices and succeed. So I'll tell all you HATERS one thing... Don't dis a job or a company just because you couldn't hack it. If you didn't have what it takes to handle the job then don't disrespect it. Don't be babies. Grow the hell up... If you couldn't handle working at Mcdonald's are you gonna cry and say its a scam too????

Good job. I did the same... an company that doesn't care about your references etc. is fishy to say the least... but it is not enough to not show up... I encourage everyone who has shown up here to file a report to the better business bureau of Silicon Valley. A lot of people have apparently been screwed by these guys... now it time for them to get theirs... It only takes a few minutes to file a report... really simple...

There are a few things that I find interesting within your report. First, you are basing your entire opinion of this company/organization on your first interview (which is designed to be very brief - more of a screening process than an interview) along with what a few others have said online. I'm curious as to why you wouldn't take the opinions of others with 'a grain of salt' and at least go to the second interview so that you could discover for yourself what this company is really about. At which point, I feel that you would have been able to make a much more educated decision. I'm having a difficult time understanding how you would be able to calculate that this company is a 'scam' based on the limited amount of information you gathered. You also mentioned that when the receptionist called you back to congratulate you on making it to the second interview that she "...sounded so fake and was more excited than I was about the whole thing." I'm troubled that you would not be excited to gain employment. Afterall, you state that "I have been searching for work for some time now and this was my first interview in my search." This was your first sign of a job and you were not excited? (Something that you may want to take a look at.) Personally, I would prefer that the company I was about to work for was excited to have me as an addition to their team. I would feel wanted and appreciated, two traits that are rare (to say the least) in the working world. Allow me to finish by saying that Synergy Management is a 'Juice, Juice, Raa, Raa!' kind of a company. But wouldn't you rather feel like you are being supported and encouraged at work, as oppossed to being lectured, belittled and embarrassed? I am currently in the middle of Synergy Management's training program and I will make no illusions of mental toughness required to succeed. But then again, what other opportunities do you know of where a company will financially back you in opening your own business for absolutely ZERO down? And, YOU are in control of how long it takes you to complete the program. Synergy Management's training program is hard. It "...is designed to weed out the weak and build up the strong." - Owner Which do you choose to be? (Because it IS a choice) --- I welcome any/all questions, comments and concerns regarding this topic.
