i have been a customer of T Mobile for 7 years and have never complained about the service and all my bills are paid on time.

i recently moved to a new apartment(in a major residential area near major highways)and found that there was no coverage.Despite filing multiple complaints T-Mobile has not fixed the issue. They have offered to forward calls to a landline (I do not have one). They say that it will take up to 3 months to fix the issue.

when i asked to cancel the contract I was told that I owe the company $300 in cancellation fees since I had recently renewed my contract. No compensation will be given for the non service, also I will have to continue paying for the non functional phone service.Let me add that I am on maternity leave and have missed all the calls from my place of work.I cannot leave the house with my newborn just to make phone calls.Let me add that there is no coverage outside in the nearby streets as well.911 calls do not go through as well.

on contacting customer service they have had a million reasons for no coverage. For eg;dense foliage(i do not live in the woods, there are practically no trees),most phones do not work indoors,it must be my SIM card is too old(all Tmobile phones even those with new SIM cards do not work. All other networks work just fine.

what saddens me is that after being a loyal customer for so long, the company has decided to make me pay for a problem that is their making, and which they have no idea when they will be able to fix.

No cell service providers guarantee service anywhere at any time. Im pretty sure that your contract states that you would fulfill a 1-2 year agreement. Im also sure that nowhere in said contract will it ever say that t-mobile must provide service anywhere you move to or are they required to spend thousands of dollars upgrading service in the area you moved to.

There are several locations in yonkers new york that have little coverage. Did you check the place you were moving against this map?

When you established service, you had coverage where you lived. It was no problem.

Then you CHOSE to move somewhere that had no coverage. Of course they will not release you from your contract. You chose to move, they did not make you. They did not tell you to go live in an apartment where you would get no service.

This is in no way their fault unless they are claiming 100% coverage on your area. Which sounds like they are not.

As for the 911 calls, T-mobile did not make you give up your land line, that was a decision you made for yourself.
