Take me on vacation is a total ripoff. I was contacted a year and a half after entering my name in one of those contest boxes at a outside event in our area.

On December 23, 2002, I was contacted by one of their representatives and got caught up and confimed receipt of package by doing an over the phone check draft.

Later that same afternoon, I thought about this and decided this is not what I wanted nor needed and contacted a Mr. Levester at extension 5144 and cancelled the package for $198.00.

I was informed by the man that the transaction would not go through since I am cancelling this now. On December 24, 2002, TakemeonVacation had the amount processed and withdrawn from my account per verification from my bank. Upon contacting the customer service department in request to receiving the funds back into my account, I was informed that it would take approximately 1 week to have the funds returned to me when it only took them 1 day to receive.

When asking to speak to a supervisor of CEO etc... you just keep getting the run around that no one is in or they are on vacation.

i inquired who the CEO's name was so that I may write a formal complaint against the company and the "customer service reps" (term used loosely!), I was informed that all correspondence goes through the Director first. In other words, the letters of complaints are screened.

TakeMeOnVacation Aggressive Telephone salesman

#2Consumer Comment

Mon, March 03, 2003

A close friend of mine here in the Uk received a telephone call from a determined salesman in Florida representing TakeMeOn Vacation. He offered discount on a two week holiday and a free holiday in Bali. When the offer was refused the Manager came on the line and continued to pressure my friend. At the time he was suffering from ill health and depression and was pursaded to part with 531. The literature that arrived was complicated and said that another person must accompany him. The Bali literature said that married couples were preferred. The whole thing seemed to be linked to timeshare sales. My friend tried to get his money back but was refused and there has been no further contact from them. I recently saw a letter in an English magazine a consumer help column. the same thing had happened the couple did not get free holidays due to their upper age limit. The consumer representative got their deposit back for them. Can anyone advise on this company ?
