I did work for them for 3 1/2 years and learned a lot while I was there. I wanted to inform you that in some areas Talk America has to use a LD (PIC Code) through AT&T. So when your local carrier checks the switches, it will not show as Talk America, but as AT&T or another company's lines that they have to use. There are also 10-10 numbers (not sure if you use them) that can direct calls through Talk America and they can use that as a way to sumbit orders to your local carrier to switch your service. I am not sure if you were referring to them switching just your long distance, but you can also have you local carrier place a PIC Freeze on your account. That is a freeze your long distance or local calling that cannot be removed unless you local carrier has your verbal or written consent. Hope this helps! Helpful in Florida
