First of all, if the receipt were in the bottom of your purse as you stated, then why didn't you take out the receipt at the time of your transaction? Secondly, if you knew that the store could look up your receipt, why did you not request this when it was not automatically offered? Thirdly, what does your being a "manager" have to do with "knowing for a fact" when Target policies are correct or incorrect? Do you work for Target since you are such an expert on their policies? Finally, the Target return policy is printed on the back of all receipts, as well as on signage located throughout the store. It is as follows: A valid receipt dated within 90 days is required for all returns and exchanges. THAT is the policy. Any leverage on the part of the Target employee should be considered a gift and NOT an expectation or requirement.
