I efiled my taxes with tax brain for the purpose of a 2 day rapid refund. after being excepted by the irs i got rejected by SBBT/RAL for the 2 day rapid refund.

their reason being was because they stated i was a risk do to the fact it could be delayed by the irs. i called SBBT/RAL and asked them what determination was there for me being a risked or delayed. they would not answer that question after repeatedly asking them.

i called the IRS and asked them if i was a risk or could my refund be delayed. they said it was accepted by them and there is no reason.

i talked to Tax Brain and asked them the same questions and they stated that they have nothing to do with this it is SBBT/RAL.

why dont they say something in the beginning if your going to be rejected why pay for the fee when you can efile it yourself and no fees. this is a total rip off.

i would advise anyone to steer clear of these rip off people

I have used TaxBrain to file for the last 3 years. I have always gotten the 2 day refund with no problems. This time when I filed, I received an email stating I would receive my refund within 8-14 business days via direct deposit.

I spoke with TaxBrain, and they stated that they are no longer offering the 2 day ral due to changes in the economy. My issue is that you dont find this out until after you have already filed with IRS and it is too late to go to another company who is offering the 2 day ral.

I will never file with Taxbrain again due to this deceptive stunt they pulled. I am also going to let all of my friends know what happened, so that they do not make the same mistake.

I filed with a different tax service, although I normally do my own taxes. I wanted the RAL becasue I needed the cash fast. SBBT denied mine for the same reason you state. I called them and they told me that it was because I had never done business there before I was to big of a risk. They offer this product but they do not deliver on it, but they are making a $30.95 fee for opening the account for you. Also they make interest on your money while it sits in there bank before they issue you the moeny after the IRS deposits it to them.
