Have you considered contacting Fox2 or any of the local news stations consumer help teams? They are extremely effective at getting answers and cutting red-tape with issues such as yours. I'll bet that the Fox2 Problem Solvers would have your case solved within a week. You would probably even receive a personal call from the president of TCF Bank apologizing on behalf of his/her rude employee, along with your money credited back to your account.
