Coming from a Family of entrepreneurs and successful business owners, I was told by my Dad awhile ago to NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH ANYONE IN FLORIDA, My Family was raised with Morals, Honesty and Integrity, and my Dad uses that in his everyday business life, and THATS WHY HE'S SUCCESSFUL for over 20 years. It never crossed my mind when doing the 1st (and ONLY) transaction with this so called "Business" ,to not do business with someone just because what state they are located in. I BELIEVE IT ABOUT FLORIDA NOW THOUGH, BEEN TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF 1ST HAND from TDW in Florida. I NEVER REMEMBERED WHAT MY DAD TOLD ME, until I got my shipment from TDW and was disgusted and honestly, felt like a LOSER. TDW DOES NOT DESERVE to be called a business. They sent me 3 Pallets that cost me $4,150.00 of General Merchandise, I was told by Diana @ TDW that over 80% was just overstock and shelf pulls....the remaining up to 20% might be returns or damaged (salvage) items. That was a BOLD FACED LIE, And by the way - I HAVE PICTURES OF ALL THE ITEMS, Dates of phone calls and emails from TDW, and documentation for all of this.... I got a pallet alone of SMASHED Hamilton Beach Microwaves (at Wal-Mart, those go for $65 BRAND NEW, GUARANTEED TO WORK AND IN MINT CONDITION, Both box and Microwave) Then I also got an 11 year old Mitsubishi 55" TV , I could only get $250.00. The TV was about $1,100 NEW BACK in 2001. Get the drift? How does a Liquidator/Closeout company (TDW) get an 11 year old TV from Retail stores? Then I got 11 Weed Eater push mowers...WEED EATER is a low end company....all the mowers had the carburetors removed, the engines were smashed in most of them and the gas tanks had DIRT in them. Not to mention 3 of the mowers HAD NO WHEELS.
Then when I tried to contact them after I got the load, they acted stupid and shuffled me from line to line then hung up. ALL THE WAY UNTIL I MENTIONED THAT MY DAD is Friends with Ohio Attorney General, Mike DeWine, and I will work my way to Floridas Attorney General, then I got a lady on the phone, trying to act like she was doing me a favor, and then she said she would give me $300 credit towards FUTURE PURCHASES, then asked if I was happy, I said....We'll be in touch. - CLICK-
If you have had a bad experience with TDW or USA Bargains, and want to join the effort at taking down a corrupt company with people we know that have a say and alot of pull like the Government, maybe get some of your money back, in a Class Action Lawsuit and stand up for people like myself and maybe yourself, want me to elaborate more about the JUNK I got, or care to share or your story. Please E-MAIL me @ [email protected]

Now that I've lost $xxxxx with a scam artist and his relatives in 2 of the businesses named here. You need to use the "fly and buy" method which means take a trip to the "warehouse" your buying from. If your told "they don't allow the public", hang up the phone, loose that number and website. Even after your trip there is no guarantee you'll get what you saw unless you actually take it with you. Store returns are, in my experience, used, dirty and defective junk. Shelf pulls and overstock are a very small percentage of the overall pallet, load, whatever. The FTC needs to hear of any and all complaints in this type of business. They are currently investigating and the more reports they have the more apparent the attention to these busineses is needed. The wire transfer payment method and the agreement you must sign are methods to ensure you accept the items they send you. Basically, they have your money, you signed an agreement to accept whatever in "as is" condition and there are no guarantee's or returns. Some companies that take credit cards have a disclaimer you must sign to waive your rights regarding credit card purchases. While I'm relatively certain there are reputable companies out there, my first experiences cast many doubts. It is my quest to post in as many forums these issues to help prevent others from becoming another scam artists victim.

I was looking into buying dept. Store closeout merchandise when I thought "Maybe it would be a good idea to check these guys out first" Obviously there a total rip-off! If you have purchased from them in the past and they ripped you off why not contact the local News channels and Newspapers?

We here at Cavalier Salvage have been dealing with TDW for over 3 years. A LOT of first time "Salvage" buyers have NO understanding of what "Salvage" merchandise is. WE at Cavalier have NEVER had a problem with merchandise from TDW. Most of our customers make a fair amount with merchandise from TDW. We have as well!
We support TDW, and even encourage you to buy from them!
