TechTraders, Sam Barakat TechTraders is a fraud; web site is down. Please report to authorities. I was ripped off too. Internet Internet
I ordered a tracksuit from TechTraders after a friend recommended the site to me. I sent my check to an Oregon address in late October. It was cashed in a Florida bank. In an email, I was assured my merchandise would be shipped after the check cleared. Weeks went by and when I finally emailed the company last week, my mail bounced back. The web site is down.
I called the Florida State police and the woman I spoke to recommended that I file a report with the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3). While my claim is too small for police to investigate, if we file enough comlaines with IC3, chances are they will investigate this fraud. The Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) is a partnership between the FBI and the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C).
