Telebrands AlumaWallet Overcharged. $165 instead of $10.99. Then charge $25.00 to reverse. Sent 10 items instead of 2. Fairfield, New Jersey
This company advertises on TV frequently. They offer protective aluminum wallets two for 10.99 with free shipping (as well as many other products so please beware). My wife called in and placed an order. I found out the next day there was a charge on my card for $165.00 from AlumaWallet. I haven't received the product yet and haven't ben able to reach any representative on the phone as everything is done via voice recording. I went onto their internet site and they have our order listed for 10 (ten) wallets, two in every color and make. They have no email addresses to contact anyone to correct any orders. they also have a notation claiming that any credit card overcharges/reversals will cost the consumer $25.00. An obvious scam. They claim on their phone recording/order line that it is recorded for "quality control" which of course is a scam since it can obviously be shown that one did not order 10 items for $165.00 and then receive all of your money back. I see from the volume of reports that this company Telebrands is a well known "scam house" but that the attorneys general have yet to shut them down and the networks are still allowing them to advertise to their viewing customers. I find this just as bad as this company itself.
