Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
The last three checks I have tried to pass have been refused. I called my bank to see what was the problem. My account is in good shape, with no outstanding checks. I called their 800 number and gave them my information, drv no. etc.

I was advised that they had another number on my file. This number did have some outstanding checks, but not mine or on my checking account. Why would they get someone's drv lcn no on my account? If I wrote someone a check and the one recieving the check wanted the person of verify who they were, it shouldn't be held against me.

It is frustrating to have this happen to you when you know you have done nothing wrong. The party on the 800 no told me to send them a copy of my drivers licnese and a voided check by fax to them. Who pays for the fax fee? When I gave them my numbers, it should have been all that would be needed. They could easily have verrified it.

Talk to a PERSON at Telecheck

#2Consumer Comment

After playing the phone game with Telecheck for about a week...I found an actual number that gets you an ACTUAL PERSON! 1-800-927-0599, dial 0 for the operator - then tell the person that you need to file a complaint (or have a problem that you've been unable to get resolved) and would like to talk to someone in the president's office. The extension for the presidents office is 72761, but you can't connect when you enter it yourself.

You may be a victim of identity fraud...

Sounds like you might be a victim of identify fraud. It's best that you check your credit report. Also, get the information from Telecheck in writing regarding why they reject your checks. If you can't fax to them, then send a letter. If you want to be sure, send it registered. You seem worried about the cost of the fax, but that cost of the fax can't be much compared to the cost of identity theft. Note that Telecheck may reject a check for various reasons, including what might be considered too much or unusual check writing.
