Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I am sick and tired of that company refusing to allow Bill Farmer and Nick Jameson, the original voice actors of Sam and Max, the right to voice their characters, because - get this - neither of those actors are from the Bay Area. Can you BELIEVE this?

It makes me so mad. Mr. Farmer and Mr. Jameson have voiced Sam and Max in only two projects, but both of them are Lucasarts projects and neither of them are being sold ANYWHERE in the United States because Lucasarts cancelled one of those projects just when it was about to be completed, and pulled the other project off U.S. store shelves... both of those projects ("Sam and Max Hit The Road" and "Sam and Max: Freelance Police") are graphic adventure games, which Lucasarts refuses to sell in the United States and is a genre that Lucasarts has not supported FOR FIVE YEARS.

Telltale has picked up the rights to the Sam and Max license and made several games with it, but NOT ONCE in any of those games is Bill Farmer the voice of Sam or Nick Jameson the voice of Max. Telltale apparently believes that by using cheap imitation actors instead of the original voice actors, they can save money. However, that decision angered a lot of Sam and Max fans, including me.

Several employees at Telltale have also gone so far as to belittle the original actors in messages they have posted on message boards, including their own company's! Among them:

"Sam in hit the road got the detective thing down, but Sam's a pretty emotional guy and that wasn't there at all. Basically same goes for max. Game: sounds more like I'd imagine him talking, but too dry."

This is ridiculous. Ever since Lucasarts pulled "Sam and Max: Hit The Road" off U.S. store shelves, there hasn't been a single Sam and Max product sold in the U.S. that contains the original voices. I'm hoping that a lot of fans of the original voices read this report, because I hope Telltale cleans up its image and actually remakes every single Sam and Max game they have now so that Bill Farmer and Nick Jameson can voice their characters again. They are two of the most respected voice actors in the industry, and it would be a shame if two roles they were known for that were taken away from them were never given back.
