My name is Kevin Collins, and I am a representative of Carriage Town Sunrooms & Conservatories. The information contained in the ripoff report that I am responding to is highly inaccurate. I would like to correct several key points.
As indicated, our original site inspection was conducted on 4/23/2007. The customer was given the choice between a conservatory (a four-season glass room) or a sunroom (a three-season aluminum room) and selected the sunroom for their home. As per Michigan state law, they were given until 4/26/2007 to rescind their decision. On 4/27/2007 the permit was building permit was pulled, and the room was ordered from Temo on 5/2/2007. The room we installed met all building codes and passed inspection on 6/1/2007, and a warranty packet was issued to Mr. and Mrs. Teinert.
Just over one year later, at 2:20pm on 7/9/2008, our customer service line received a call from Mrs. Teinert stating that she had a leak in her sunroom. We set a service appointment of 7/15/2008, on which date our Installation Manager personally supervised the seal and repair of a hole in the base track. Before leaving, the repair crew soaked the entire exterior of the room with water from a hose and could detect no further leakage.
There have been no further service requests from this customer. I became aware of this complaint report this morning when a different customer who purchased a Temo sunroom from a different installer accidentally called us regarding a service issue. We directed them to Temo, as we did not install their room and do not have their information on file.
