Temple University Temple University School Of Podiatric Medicine I have been paying $50.00 a month for the protection of being unfairly dismissed. I was laid off unfairly and complained about it and nothing was done about it. I have asked for the money that I paid into the union for protection, the amount should be around $3,600.00 more or less. Philadellphia Pennsylvania
The reason for this report is becaue I have been paying $50.00 a month for about 5 years and I have written the president of the Union who is Henry Nicols and it seems I have been taken for a joke.
At first they wanted to deny they receive my letter until I told them that it sent certified and gave them the name, and then they said " Oh yes we have it. The secretary there told the union representative that I was complaing of having my money returned and she called me. Her name is

I told Darlene that I was not represented as I should have been by her and she gives me a dum story about "Oh I thought you were taken care of"
What happened was I was unfairly laid off by a racist korean doctor who has been after me since I got there but there was another boss above him, whom this korean doctor told that the main director of the department was fired and after that I knew he was going to find a way to get me.
He told me he did not need a secretary after 5 years working with him in that department. He told me he needed a research coordinator of which he had just hired on but he told me he needed another one.
All of this was horrible for me and I wrote the union and told them that since I was not represented I wanted my money back and they are taking me for granted.
I do have a lawyer on the case of the korean doctor and this rascist ways.
I'm just wondering is there anything that I can do to report the union for not acting as a union should.
Any help or information you can give me regarding this case please let me know. I was always under the impression that a union did what it should but I sure found out rudley.
