Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

The Tennessee Shindig Theatre clearly advertises in their brochures, on their web site, and on their outdoor signs that they offer gospel entertainment.  This is false and misleading advertising, intended to attract customers, specifically interested in gospel and country entertainment.  Moreover, the persons answering their telephone will also state that they offer Gospel entertainment.   For that matter, ask them about any type of music or entertainment, and the Tennessee Shindig will quickly say they offer it.  They are deliberately misleading potential customers for the purpose of ensuring anyone and everyone will buy tickets to their shows, even if they do not offer the particular type of entertainment people are looking for.

Their deception guarantees them a large audience.  The truth is they perform a rock and roll show, entertainment suitable for teens and persons under 30.  Michael Jackson is not gospel music.  No gospel music whatsover was peformed at the show we attended.  Their deliberate deception is a huge disappointment for senior tour groups.  Making matters worse, the Tennessee Shindig is fronting for a nearby restaurant that serves horrible food and has horrible service.  It is the Wood Grill Buffet, and the Tennessee Shindig is tacking on an additonal six dollars to all their tickets, without the permission of persons buying tickets.   This is further proof of their deliberate deception, when dealing with the public.

The Tennessee Shindig, located in Pigeon Forge, TN is a Rip Off!  Avoid them, and don't believe anything they tell you.

Cobb EMC RoundUp Charge is NOT Voluntary

#2Author of original report

Thu, May 08, 2014

Cobb EMC's CEO spoke recently and said the Round Up charge was never intended to be voluntary.  In a sneaky Rip Off fashion, Cobb EMC buried notice of the illegal Round Up charge in a bundle of advertisements sent out to customers  months ago, full well knowing that customers rarerly, if ever, dig through the dozens of junk pamphlets enclosed with their monthly bills.  This is a Rip Off and dishonest.

Cobb EMC public relations representatives are now attempting damage control by appearing on the media and falsely stating the Round Up charge is voluntary.   Truth is that the Round Up charge was never intended to be voluntary.

The new Cobb EMC board of directors is acting in the same way the previous dishonest board did.

Cobb EMC says a customer can Opt Out of the Round Charge.  That is not true, because when customers submit the Opt Out form, the Round Up charge continues to appear on monthly bills.  Worse yet, if a customer refuses to pay the Round Up charge, then their account is placed in a past due status.  That does not sound like anything close to being voluntary.

The Round Up charge is thus, a compulsory charge, and definitely not a voluntary charge.

The charities Round Up money is going to were never allowed to be selected by customers.  Moreover, the charities this Round Up money is going to do not reflect either the values of Cobb EMC customers or local community values.  The so called charites are really not even charities in some cases and do in fact promote political causes, favorite causes of the Cobb EMC board of directors.
