Complaint Review: Terra Incognita - intenet Select State/Province

I am saddened to read this untrue and viciously mean complaint against Jacki.  Jacki is one of the most kind and honest people I know. 

I have two Lagotti purchased from two different breeders (not Jacki).  I would never purchase from these two breeders again as my oldest dog has a terrible temperament and severe dip dysplasia.  And, the breeder of my youngest dog misrepresented her birth date on her registration, and this litter came out of a female less than one year of age who couldn’t have possibly had all her health testing as I was told she did. 

After having fear aggression problems with my oldest dog, I called Jacki (I’d never met or talked to her before).  She spent a very long time on the phone with me and ultimately told me to bring my dogs to her and leave them for training.  I left my dogs with Jacki for six weeks and she trained them for me for free.  That’s right – no cost, but just because she loves the breed and wanted to help me. 

I’ve spent many, many hours at Jacki’s farm and I can tell you that she works hard to breed only the most outgoing, healthy dogs.  She is very well thought of in the Lagotto world and is the go to person when someone needs help or information.  Jacki is always available to answer questions and will spend endless hours on the phone mentoring others about the breed

Seriously, I can’t begin to count the number of people Jacki has helped and the number of puppies she’s placed that are happily living in their forever homes. 

In the world of dog breeding, it is not unusual for a litter to be registered with limited registration to the breeder and then the registrations held by the breeder until each puppy is spayed/neutered at which time the registration would be signed over to the new owner.  It is also not an unusual practice to co-own breeding dogs – especially when a breeder has worked so hard to establish a good breeding program. There are many unethical people who will take a limited registration and will breed and sell unregistered puppies at a reduced rate.  Confirming spay/neuter before transferring registration is an effective way to protect the breed.

This report is obviously file by someone who is jealous of Jacki’s success and in my opinion, there is no truth to these allegations. 

My suggestion is: don’t believe everything you read and when looking for a puppy to talk to each breeder, be cautious of breeders who “bad mouth” other breeders, call and verify your breeder's references, make sure your breeder will provide you with health information from both parents, visit the breeder if you can, ask your breeder for lots of pictures and updates, and most importantly, find a breeder that you feel comfortable with.

The person saying bad things about Jacki is interesting, but near sighted. Where is your proof? What makes you an 'expert' to make your statements?

My wife and I started working 4 months ago with Jacki for our Lagotto. We've had a 'hiccup' during the process. This was not something Jacki could have foreseen.

I've talked to Jacki for hours about our 'requirements'. She has been responsive and generous of her time and expertise.

I was at her farm last week and watched her in action with a Lagotto and a Belgium breed. I watched her videos and read many positive reports about her.

OUR EXPERIENCe - Jacki is 100% of everything see represents and promises!!!

We must wait for the trained puppy we desire, but there is no doubt in our minds Jacki will deliver...

I've also talked to other breeders, veterinarians and trainers about our experience without identifying Jacki. ALL said what Jacki has done for us is only because we are dealing with a trustworthy, competent and highly reliable person.
