We found a truck on eBay Motors listing # 110080235204. (Go check it out).

We purchased the truck from Texas Auto Liquidators, Fred was the contact person who uses the eBay username e-wholesale14 . The picture and description made the deal look wonderful, but we would later find out the truck was in horrible condition.

After a couple of phone calls to Fred @ 817-896-5202, We specially asked if the truck was a 5.4 engine and he assured us it was. We also asked if the truck had ever been wrecked or stolen. He replied with, the car fax doesn't show it being wrecked or stolen". After receiving the truck it sure didn't take a rocket scientist to see indeed it had been wrecked.

Fred instructed to send 500.00 through pay pal for a deposit and then wire from our bank to their bank in the amount of 13,130.97. When we received the Truck we noticed these things immediately:

The engine cover was removed to hide the fact that the truck was a 4.6 instead of a 5.4. Ford ran the vin# to verify this.

There was apparent front-end damage. The radiator support wasn't even welded or bolted in.

The hood and fenders were not in line with the grill.

There were large scratches on the exterior of the vehicle, there was no pictures or mention of this in the listing.

There was multiple cigarette burns in the interior, the pictures in the listing were taken to purposefully hide these burns.

The tailgate had multiple dents again no mention or pics of this.

There were paint spills in the bed of the truck again not disclosed.

The tires were extremely dry rotted.

The truck would not crank at all.

The truck was unusable and disgusting to say the least. Before deciding to return the truck we had an ICAR Gold Class Certified repair technician to look at the truck. He confirmed it had been wrecked.

We called Fred and told him we was unhappy with the condition of the truck and was not the truck we ordered for this one was a 4.6 engine. We would be sending the truck back and wanted a full refund. We also spoke with Michael Wheeles who claims to be the owner of Texas Auto Liquidators @ 817 483-5666. He assured us he would refund the money when they received the truck back . We told him all we wanted was for him to be fair and refund our money. He said he would refund less an 800.00 restocking fee. We told him we would not agree with that and nowhere was there any mention of a restocking fee. The truck was sitting back on their lot Feb 8th. We waited and waited for our refund check, finally calling Monday Feb 12, 2007. Michael said he would overnight the check Tuesday so we would have it Wednesday. Wed. came and went and no check, We called Wed. about 5:00pm and he assured us he was mailing the check that day and we would have the next day which would be Thursday . Thursday came and went no check. We called again but this time was only allowed to speak to the woman who answered. She assured us she had the check in her hand and would be mailing it Friday. We finally received the check Saturday evening but much to our surprised it was only for 11,480.00. Leaving a balance of 2,150.00. Buyer Be Ware!! Please do not do business with such shrewd liars and con artist. I gave back 100% of their truck but Michael Wheeles did not deem it fair or necessary to refund 100% of my money. They Charged me 650.00 to ship a truck I did not order but it only cost them 300.00 then it cost me 400.00 to ship it back. People I am out of 2,550.00, because of doing business with Texas Auto Liquidators, how much will it cost you?

I am requesting Texas Auto Liquidators to send me the remainder of my money a total of 2,150.00.

Not a penny more than what I sent them and not a penny less. I also would like them to refund the 400.00 shipping cost it took to send the bogus truck back. The total would come to 2,550.00.

I called when the truck was delivered back to them to ask Michael if he actually looked at the truck and he said, no its in the body shop. Now why would it be in the body shop if it was in such wonderful condition? They have already relisted the truck on eBay (listing # 110091610910) to sting another unsuspecting victim.

We have called and called for the last couple of days leaving message after message for Michael to return our call. Most of the time it rings and rings or the answering machine comes on only long enough for someone to pick up and hang up the phone. We asked a friend of ours to call and just see if anyone would answer. They picked up on the 4th ring. So I called right after that with a different phone. Someone picked up on the 3rd ring. I asked to speak to Michael the man on the other end said, "uuuuuhhh he's not in right now, can I take a message?" I told him who I was and to tell Michael ignoring us would not make us go away that things would only get worse unless he talked to me. The man said, "is that it?" I said yes and he started laughing and said to have a nice day and then he hung up. I recieved a letter from BBB in Texas telling me they recieved my complaint and would be forwarding it on to Texas Auto Liquidators and would contact me after they got a response from them. I am now writing a letter to the Attorney Generals office.

I am a used car dealer and I looked at the listing on Ebay, it says V-8 but didn't say it was a 4.6 liter. To double check the engine size just use the vin number and the 8th char/digit will tell you the size of the engine. That way next time you don't have to take a salesman's word. I looked at the pictures and I did see a few dents in the tailgate and one of the fenders looked a little off. My main point is a lot of vehicles are listed on Ebay by dealers/wholesalers because they have some issue that keeps them from being retailed on a lot. A 2003 truck with 113k miles and some previous body work is a good example. Jason Columbus, Oh U.S.A

Car dealers are the scum of the earth no matter where they are. Buying a truck on E-Bay is silly though, why would someone not simply sell it locally? I've seen a few cars that come from the internet swindlers, and every one of them is junk.
