Alabama,#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

So I guess I've forgotten about this post or finally got tired of reading the lies. I noticed how they still are changing their name...now goes by Emily's Rentals!! And of course has a bad review on here!! I can't believe how they OUTRIGHT LIE about people to make themselves look better!!! I sure hope they have changed and are not ripping tenants/landlords off anymore but clearly that's not the case! I'm finished arguing back and forth on here but I WAS NOT FIRED and I did watch one of the owners hit another employee in the face with her arm...yes it's possible it was an accident but to keep lying and getting old! THERE WERE NO CAMERAS IN HER OFFICE JUST DIRTY WINE GLASSES!! Anyway enough is enough I've been out of there forever just wanted to give everyone the heads up they changed the name to EMILY'S RENTALS!!!!

My family and I used TexstarProperties from 05-06, far too long if you ask me. I will attest to this former employee's claim and confirm that the reason things did not get done were not because of this employee, but because of poor business practices byTexstar properties aka/fka Team Wheatley. They swindled us for almost $1,000.00 with promises of our full deposit amount being returned to us upon clearing. The person who came to clear us, (in order to receive our deposit back) told us specifically that this was the cleanest he had ever seen someone leave one of their properties and complemented us on what a nice job we had done. Texstar claimed we would receive a full refund....Never happened? Upon inquiry, they stated the check was on its way...its 5 years later & no check?
Please know that I WARN every friend, or stranger for that matter, that I know who is being stationed anywhere near Ft. Hood NEVER to rent fromTexstar Properties or to deal with TeamWheatley based upon our, less than pleasantyear longexperience Texstar Properties. I also had the chance to deal with this company on a professional level, and know first hand what type of business they ran. Not impressed... Accountability appears to mean passing the buck in order to avoid any recourse. Instead of owning up to what or how their company functions, I recommend they take all of these negative comments and using them as a learning experience versus criticism. We can all learn from our past, and one thing I have learned, should we ever be stationed at Ft. Hood again, I will NEVERrent from Texstar Properties or purchase a home through TeamWheatley.

Once again I was not fired! They own the company so of course they can delete the film recorded. They have even changed their name cause people were complaining on them. Whatever you do DO NOT work or rent from them. They are the most disgraceful, lying dirtbags that have ever walked this earth. I wish I would have cussed them out but I didn't. I wouldn't have anything to be ashamed about if I had cussed them out. I am very ashamed of leaving a very good company to go work at their sorry one. I'm still seeing old vendors of theirs that have not been paid and are taking them to court. That company needs to get what is coming to them!!!

This employee was fired. In fact the Texas workforce commission denied her claim to receive unemployment, due to the documentation that was provided. There has never been an incident of an employer or an employee striking another. This former employee has not said anything about the security video files that prove that. Additionally, she has failed to discuss the computer logs from her work station of the amount of company time that she wasted and abused. Had she truly wanted to work and not look for a hand out she could have been a very productive part of our team.

They didn't fire me at all. I walked out because they don't know how to treat their customers and employees. I worked them from the end of march till the first day in june. And if I did mess something up it was because they didn't really train me. I hated working there too!!!! I would never send someone there to work or rent from. I wish I could give you my email address so we could talk but they delete it if I do. I'm sorry that you haven't received your money yet but thats just the way they are. From what I've heard there have been at least 4 other people in my position since I've left. What does that tell you?!

This is so weird, it's been since like March, but when I moved out, I was told my deposit was messed up due to them firing the lady that did the move outs, and that she had messed things up so bad that it would take an extra month. I hate Texstar and everything they are worth. I hope someday everyone will realize they are slim balls.

I was NOT fired. I quit because they don't know how to treat their employees!!!!! I didn't do anything there that the manager and other employees didn't do. ie: web surfing!!!! Look at all the complaints (i'm no longer there thank god) that are still coming in. They can't keep employees because they are rude to them. The lady was struck in the face-I watched it happen. That would be stupid to make up a lie about that!!! I hope this company crumples. Remember "what goes around comes around" they are gonna get whats coming to them. As far as vendors not being paid....why would the vendors stop doing service for them and sueing them if they were getting paid. HELLO!!! We've got those vendors coming here to the company I work for now complaining about them!!!

Again, as I have stated before the person who this report should take a close look in the mirror. She states that an employee was struck. - Lie... There are security cameras (18 interior 8 exterior) backed up and stored daily. Not web surfing, - Lie Her history was recorded if it was necessary to present it to the TWC if she were to file for unemployment. Was not terminated Lie She was informed that her work product was not up to standard and she was release during her ninety (90) day probation period. As for not paying Vendors Lie Vendors are paid on the following monthly cycle of job completion. One of the primary functions of this person job description was to close out tenant folders so the vendors could be paid on time, which was not done. My 12 year old son was embarrassed by her language and actions the day she left here. As for complaints, yes we have had some, but I am unaware of any company that has not had them. We manage over 1400 rental units, with tenants moving in & out on a continual basis, and represent over 800 individual owners. I have filed complaints myself in the past. However, when a complaint comes I personally review them; if we are wrong we fix the problem, that is it. On the other hand, if I feel that that the company's actions have been appropriate, I will stand my position, regardless of threats of filing complaints and/or slander. That is my character, my ethics and my values. I still believe that Rip off report performs a great public service. The possibilities of it as a data base are endless. As a small business owner it is a wonderful that can be used for products and services that can be used by the company to effectively perform of jobs. Would it not be wonderful if we could search for potential employees or tenants also?

First of all, I was not terminated. I didn't cuss at anyone. I was never rude to any customer and I was never talked to any other employee bad. Because people didn't want to take their calls from owners and tenants, I left that company. I never had a problem with Kyle, it was his wife. She didn't know how to talk to people. SHE yelled and cussed. And yes I did watch her hit an employee in the face. Which they made her work all day until 6:30 (after everyone had already left) then called her and fired her. That was pretty sorry. Then they tried to make up a big story about her. I'm not ashamed of myself. What I am ashamed of is working for that company. EVERYONE I run into has something bad to say about them. Just look at all the complaints they have. And about this "surfing", no one EVER said anything to me about looking at the internet. It was my job to do the closeout folders, but I only had invoices to go off. I didn't make things up, I used the bills that I was given to charge the tenants. So the complaints are not about me but about the company. They can't even pay the vendors they use!!!! This company has their family working there and no one gets along so there is a lot of stress.

The former employee that wrote this complaint should be ashamed of herself. Not only was she reprimanded for "surfing" at work, she did not show the type of customer care that we expect. Some of the other complaints that are on Rip-off report were her direct area of responsibility. Her area was to account for tenants move out and security deposit, which seems to be the area of most complaints. Additionally, no employee has ever been struck, not only is that action illegal but I consider it to be unethical as well as unprofessional. There are security cameras both inside and outside of the facility that are monitored at all times. In fact she screamed and cursed when she was informed that her services were no longer needed. I find your site to be interesting as well as informative. I wish that a source such as this could have been available when I was a soldier stationed here at Fort Hood. In the future if a consumer has a complaint please forward my email ----. I shall personally review their issue.
