June of 2006,Arepresentative from Allentown Window Pros, came to my home.Iagreed to get windows from theyre company.First they tried to charge me 28,000 for 11 windows and the front of my row home with siding. I called the office and spoke with a Bryan Moore, exsplained to him that was too much money. Mr.Moore in turn made a comment to me,"Youre getting a settlement so whats the problem?" I informed Mr.Moore that I donot wish to do this. He agreed to revise the contract @14,000.147.00mo. for ten years. Two weeks later Iget a Phone call to have my home appraised, Mr. Moore said Ihad to do this in order to get windows. I agreed. A Mary Oley came to appraise my home, I made a comment to her that I was finally going to get my windows. She in turn said,"No. I do refinances for Rewliance Funding, That Allentown Window Pros instructed them to do a refinance on my home, car, windows,. I told Ms. Oley that under no Circomstances did I want to Refinance My properties. On July 29,2006, the same representative, returned to my home, that saturday evening with approximately 10 papers for me to sign, wich he claimed, were to get my windows installed. He covered up the top portion of the papers only showing were I was to sign. I had no reason at that point not to beleive this man. So I signed the papers, until I got to the last page and I pulled it out,It was papers to refinance my house! I told him I cant do this, He used my home phone to call a finance man from the company. I asked to speak to the man on the phone, was told I could not, the man was on his way out. The man in my home thjen got up gathered all the papers told me he would fix everything, then return to my home. He never returned. I pushed redial on my phone, found out he in fact called his own sprint voice mail box, not a finance man as he claimed! Icalled the # to window pros, they would not answer when i called from my home phone but answered from my cell phone. I tried to explain to Mr. Moore what happened, Only for him to scream at me for Phoning him. For me to see him at the office Monday. Went to the office, the address on my contract, The office no longer existed at that address! Thank god for a nice man, who told me were it was. Went to office, Spoke to Mr. Moore, Told him what happened, told him I did not want to do busimess with a company like his. He told me that I still had to pay for the windows @ 147.00mo.for 30 years! I told him he was crazy,I dont have any windows. He said "so what, I have a contract". I in turn Left His office and filed a complaint at the attorney Generals office.

I say this in each response that it is difficult to answer these correctly as I did a search for a Melainie and cannot find one. I don't know whether to apologize or express my comments. All I can say is if we were doing this financing and it were $147/mo for 30 years it could only mean you were doing a complete refinance and there would have been substantial savings to you. Plus, we needed your permission to do this so I am not sure how an appraisal was set. Maybe you discussed this and some point and changed your mind. I really don't know!! No loans for just windows or siding exceeds most time 15 years. So I am not sure if you were discussing a refi with cash out for the work or if you are my customer. I am sorry for the bad experience. We do install over 6000 windows a year and do alot of siding and sunrooms so I wish I knew your name. Pls contact me at my company if I can be of assistance to you. I am glad to hear that you did not end up with windows you did not want nor financing you liked. Joe Stoffey

Miscommunication and apology

After researching the inforamtion with all the appropriate people, I found that it was a combination of a refiance to include new windows. There was no loan for $14,700 for 30 years. This was a refiance to lower her debt, lower he monthly payments and lower her interst rate she was curently paying. Wp is not aware of not providing the windows expected in this situation and again it is difficult to answer these because I am hoping this is the person I beleive it is. No names make it difficult to answer these correctly. I do apologize if you were mis-informed. I beleive WP discussed the possibility with you of doing a refinance with another company and received your permission WHICH HAS nothing to do with WP. This would clean up some credit issues and debt problems and make it very easy to obtain the loan you needed for your windows at terms that best fit your requirements. If you would call us we would be glad to honor whatever our contract states and help you mke this afforable EVEN if I must work with you on a better price!! I make my livign as do my people from happy customers and I feel horrible you had to write this letter. I hope you find time to speak with us to resolve this matter. Ask for the owner. Sincerely Joseph Stoffey

WHY didn't you cancel this at the first excessive quote?

WHY did you persist in continuing with these people? Did yo think you could use reason to bring them to their senses? Is there never a good enough reason to stop dealing with someone? I really do not understand this scenario.....
