Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Scott C. G. Blankenship and his law firm are thiefs and completely deceptive to their clients.

I was emailed other case files from clients by "mistake" and told to delete them. I wonder how many cases go out to other people without their knowledge.

I hired Mr. Blankenship with the understanding from him that he is efficient but yet he did not file my case for over a year after repeated emails asking what was going on with it. I kept hearing that it was being worked on but it was not. Had his firm been honest from the start to say that they had not even filed the case, I would not be writing this. I would have found someone competent that had my best interest as a client at hand.

It took almost 3 years for a very straightforward case. Cases similar to mine were done in 1 year and everyone was shocked that it took Mr. Blankenship 3 years for a simple retaliation case.  Mr. Blankenship's advantage was to drag it out longer and longer so that it helped cushion the billing for the Blankenship firm.

Blankenship fees are completely excessive and unreasonable. No place in your agreement with Blankenship will it say that you need to pay for the lawyer to take taxis, go through training to benefit his law firm, and pay for lunches on their hourly rate as a client. It should say "lunches will be billed to you as a client along with our $500/hr". Another example: If you match the mediator bill to the bill that is submitted by the Blankenship firm, you will see that it was marked up to be triple the amount to billed to you as a client. An absolute scam.

Mr. Blankenship clearly does not have the best interest of the client at hand. He threatens his clients and then if you stand up to his scams, he will threaten to sue you for exposing him.

Stay far, far away from this law firm.

They will charge you for eight people on the clock, lunches for the lawyers, large amounts of hours moving files from one place to the next, and NOT working on the case.

Since they claim to have so much experience in employment law, it is amazing to see how much legal research is billed to be at almost $40,000. Apparently, the lawyers do not have that much experience to bill you for being an expert.

Mr. Blankenship's inefficiences had witnesses for the case complaining that his law firm was on borderline harrassment, interviewing and re-interviewing witnesses, and then having their paralegal Greg Roth fight with witnesses to the point that they wanted to give up on helping the case.

The attorney owes the highest duty to the client and Mr. Blankenship's law firm does not have the clients best interest at hand. Do yourself a favor and find someone that will do justice for you and treat you in fairness so that you would want to recommend him to your friends and family. This firm should be out of business.

No fee dispute on record? The public should see this! Judge Jones decreased the Blankenship fees by $1 million in a 2014 case.

The honorable Judge Richard A. Jones recently had occasion to evaluate Scott Blankenships law firm fee petition. The case, Conti v. Corporate Services Group, Inc. 30 F. Supp3d 1051 W.D. Wa. 2014, contains observations about The Blankenship law firm fees. In summary, Judge Jones reduced the Blankenships law firm fees by $1 million dollars!!! Public should be aware of this. All clients considering the Blankenship law firm should know this! Blankenship law firm fee agreement operates to the lawyers advantage and the clients disadvantage. Mr. Blankenship will pressure all his clients to gain everything for his law firm and not you as a client. He will also threaten you if you post reviews about his law practice. You as the public should be made aware of this law firm so that you can make an informed decision on these rebuttals from Mr. Blankenship stating this was the first fee dispute in 2016 but public record shows 2014 in another case. Are there more.....

Uniformly Extreme and Patently Unfounded

We regret that this former client feels this way. While we respect and appreciate candid feedback and always seek to learn from it, this client actually brought these accusations to court—the first-ever fee dispute our firm has had. A federal judge ruled that I, Scott Blankenship, “achieved an excellent result for [this client] despite the difficulties that this case presented.” In fact, she received the upper end of what she authorized. Regarding her accusations that my firm unfairly collected our contingency fee, the U.S. District Court ruled, “nothing of the sort occurred here.” Regarding her claim that I did not diligently prosecute her case, the federal judge recognized, there “is no evidence in support of this accusation.” The judge reviewed all of the evidence and concluded that each of her accusations was unfounded. He ruled her accusations were “uniformly extreme and patently unfounded, which reflects poorly on the accusers—attorneys who, quite frankly should know better.” We continue to have empathy for this former client and her many struggles and wish her nothing but the best.
