On May 14, 2009 I ordered pillars and candelabras from the Centerpiece Store, by speaking to Doug on the phone and was told I could expect my order by June 11. My order didn't arrive so I called and inquired and was told June 29. It didn't arrive so I called again and was told sometime in July. I called again on July 15 and was told "next week" and when I inquired again on August 4 I was told by Doug that the order had shipped. On August 21, 2009 I reached Doug by phone and told him I didn't receive the order so asked where did it ship to? He said he'd look into it. On August 26, 2009 Doug told me the pillars had shipped but was uncertain of when the candelabras and unity candle holder would be shipped. Because he could not indicate when the Candelabras and unity candle holder would ship I requested a refund of the balance which he stated to me was $455.70. He told me my money would be refunded on August 30, 2009 and that I would receive some sort of compensation for waiting so long for my order. I did not receive the refund. I emailed 3 inquiries as to why I had not received the refund and asked what sort of compensation I would be receiving. The response I received was for the tracking number of the pillars and the amount of the 'credit' I had on file, which was $455.70. I did receive the 4 pillars on September 9, 2009. On September 10, 2009 I emailed Doug that I received the pillars and would either like the refund or the Candelabras and not a store credit. I did not receive a response. On September 24, 2009 I reached him by phone and  he said the candelabras were in the warehouse ready to go and would ship the next week. I called Oct 26,27, Nov.4 and 5th and have left messages because there is no answer and I have not yet been called back. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and he has yet to respond to the second notice. This isn't a new business, it's been around since 1997.  I see he now has 20 complaints filed. Mine was the 16th a month ago... He'll likely just file bankruptcy and everyone will be SOL. I feel sorry for him, if money has him so tightly wound up. He can keep mine if he needs it so badly. I just hope he doesn't scam someone else!
