First of all, due to a few negative comments posted here on Ripoff Report, I ALMOST decided not to attend a full day seminar hosted by The Director's Playhouse here in S.L.C. last weekend... However, I trusted my "gut instinct" and the opinions of some local friends and I decided to go.
I'm going to keep this short and sweet... I have NOTHING BUT GOOD things to say about my personal experience with Tom and Frederick from The Director's Playhouse! They were friendly but very professional. And, I can't say enough good things about the talent agents and casting directors who participated in this event. Why would these VERY WELL KNOWN, reputable and successful people risk losing EVERYTHING by being involved with some "Scam Artists"??? Not likely!!!!
I would definitely attend another work shop if they ever came back into town. Hell, I might even travel to L.A. to attend one and I'm sure there are many, many more people here that would do the same.
Always do your homework but also, follow your gut, not the "opinions" of a few negative people!

I am stunned to read the "Rip Off Report" on the Woodards & the Directors Playhouse. We have been a part of the Playhouse for almost 2 years & have seen nothing but professionalism & quality in the classes, workshops & showcases offered there. The Woodards have been immensely helpful in giving us the information & tools required to navigate the entertainment business here in LA. And a "bottle scam" - seriously? That sounds completely made up.

I cant comment on the complaint (if that is what you call it) filed by the party on this web site, except to say that it appears vindictive. But what I would like to say in response is that I have been a client of The Directors Playhouse for a long time and I have been nothing but 100% pleased with the quality and integrity of the amazing training I have received, and the warm welcoming feel of the studio. Director Playhouse owners Megan and Tom Woodard are very kind, generous and accommodating people. They have made me feel that they genuinely have an interest in my career and helping me reach my goals so much more so than about the modest fee that I pay to belong to the playhouse each month. I dont possibly see how there could be any scam going on at this place. Its completely upfront and honest. People pay a very fair price at the Playhouse for unique training with some amazing and very powerful Directors and teachers. It has made a significant difference to me, which is very consistent with what I hear other people say. I highly recommend it.

Omg! That is so weird. I was called in to The Directors Playhouse and spoke with Tom Woodard.
He's seemed nice until he started to get too friendly and then started to rub my lower back to the top of my shoulders, I was very uncomfortable and was very surprised and did not know what to think. Then asked me to come and audit one of his classes, I don't think so perv it shows how much he cares for his wife and how he values morals, sooooo gross.
After reading this report I am utterly disgusted and surprised that he has the guts to bring actors in
knowing this report is online. I show's he has does no shame.
If any you actresses/actors experiences this be very carefully with that perv.
