Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Six months ago I contacted Glass Clinic for a replacement of a broken windshield. They had a great price on their service, so I thought. I liked the price so I had them install a new windshield with the lifetime warranty. Six months after they installed it, my girlfriend and I were getting in the car and when we shut our doors the mirror with a chunk of glass still glued to it fell off. The outside of the windshield was fine. It had no chips, scratches, or impact marks. So after looking at the funny way it broke I called and spoke with the man in charge at The Glass Clinic. I told him what happened in a very polite respectful manner thinking it was going to be taken care of under my ''Lifetime" warranty. Before I could finish giving him all of the information he cut me off and told me I must have hung a lot of heavy items from it or jerked on it ''really, really, really" hard. This is before he even laid eyes on it or let me finish explaining everything. At this point he is being very defensive and rude for no reason and tells me I will have to bring it to 2270 Manana Dr, Dallas, Tx 75220. When I bring it there he looks at it and says I must have intentionally pulled it down or hung very heavy things from it. These excuses make no sense to me. He tells me he will replace it for me for $120 and give me a discount on labor and materials. I learned about deplorable business tactics like this in business school. Its takes advantage of people who are in a vulnerable situation, plus its not living up to your ''lifetime warranty'' standard. So needless to say I didn't take him up on his offer, so I decided to call a well known reportable company called safelite. They came out and replaced my windshield and told me that the company that installed the windshield he was replacing did not primer all of their scratch marks that the removing tool made when replacing the last windshield, and that it had caused my windshield lip to rust! He said it causes leaks and all kinds of other expenses dow the line. He noticed it without me even telling him about the people who replaced it before. After he told me that I told him who replaced it before him and he said they are know to conduct shady business and do shotty work though out the windshield replacement world. Anyhow, safelite put in my new windshield and it looks great. It doesn't have all the deformities like the one from The Glass Clinic and I will use them for good now. Thank you for your time. *****Buyer beware
