long story short. A young couple with a little dog move to Maricopa Arizona from San Diego California to save money and build a family. We signed a one year lease agreement with this property management group and 8 months into it the house went into foreclosure!

We made every payment and we were promised that if we moved out by a certain time we would receive 100% of our deposit back.

It has been a month now since we have been out of the old house and we have not received any calls back from Golba group or seen our money. They only sent part of the deposit back because part of it was a non refundable cleaning deposit. HELLOW it went into foreclosure the house belongs to the bank now, we were served papers from the court while we lived their. Then they claim that they mailed it 1st CLASS MAIL. Yea right. Deposits or last checks or large refunds are always registered mail with tracking I D cost .45 cents.

WE HAVE SENT THEM A FORMAL LETTER AND WE ARE NOW TAKEING LEGAL ACTIONS.

TENANTS DEPOSIT WAS FULLY RETURNED PER LEASE AGREEMENT

I read the tenant claim that, I as the manager of Golba Group, avoided returning their phone calls and did not return the tenant's security deposit. I personally traveled to the tenant's work place to pick up keys so that the deposit could be returned although they were required to bring them to our office. They gave the office wrong forwarding addresses. The husband gave information to our office which was not correct and it was only after speaking to the wife that the information was corrected so we could send them the deposit. Through out this process I personally tried to assit them and it was through my efforts to get the correct information that the deposit was finally sent to the correct address. I think it shameful that because the owner of the property did not pay their mortgage without our knowledge that these tenants tried to make me personally, and the company which represent, look as if we did anything except try to help them through that difficult experience. I would add that in many cases these situations turn out even worse for the tenants because some owners hold the deposits of the tenants. Our company was able to mitigate some of the damage to the tenant by requiring that the tenant's deposit remain in our control. I would add that this rip off report made by this tenant is "bogus"
