If my cat (although I don't have any cats) had gone into seizures, I would have taken the cat to the vet immediately. Seizures can cause brain damage, which sounds like what your cat may have suffered. Always talk to your vet about flea prevention and have them recommend the safest product. If your cat then has a reaction, the vet will know what was used, how much was used, and how to treat for any negative reaction to the product.

First off after reading your report I was totally in shock that you waited a whole month to get medical help for your cat. No wonder the damage was already done to the pet's system. Whenever an animal has a violent reaction to any type of product if you cannot afford an emergency clinic take your pet the very first available open day to your vet! My God you waited over a month!!! Second of off, it has been public knowledge for years that Hartz flee products are terribly dangerous to cats and small dogs. If you were going to get a flee product you should of gotten it from your vet. It is a bit more expensive but you would not be in the situation you are in now. What you definately need to do now is somehow get the money together and get you pet back to the vet and get it on medication to control the seizures! Your pet will die from these if not put on the proper medication. As to the product. Your State should have a Consumer Protection Office. Notify them immediately of this situation, the product name, where you bought it, when you bought it, etc. They maybe able to help, at this date I don't know. I just see you as an irresponsible pet owner who waited too long to get medical help for its pet, who needs to follow up NOW with the vet if you want your pet to continue its life. A VERY CONCERNED pet owner

I've used this product on my cats a few times. They didn't show any ill effects other than being oily and smelly for a week, and still infested with fleas. The product may have killed a few fleas, but many survived. Even though it didn't make my cat sick, it was still a waste of money. No one should buy it.
