i HAVE A MAJOR PURCHASE PLAN THROUGH MY HOME DEPOT ACCOUNT. THIS HAS A PROMOTIONAL INTEREST RATE OF 15.48 %. In December 2007 I paid off all other parts of my Home Depot account to avoid interest penalties. I left the Major Purchase plan, and began paying it down monthly. Each month I received my Home Depot statement, the Credit service moved money from Major Purchase Plan to A higher interest rate, 15.48 to 21% for no reason. I called and dealt with there customer relations and account services people 6 times. om April 3rd " Susan" said "you're account is a mess", I said I know because you people have no idea what you R doing. Susan replied I will fixed this and promised to follow up on it and Guaranteed me it would be fixed by 04/18 and she would follow up on 04/21. When the new statement arrived it showed her adjustments, however it also had a new amount transferred to the higher interest rates. 21.00 % On 04/28, Again I contacted account services and was told by Debbie that all new accrued interest gets applied at the higher interest rate. I told her that thats ILLEGAL because the company is double dipping to which she replied thats the way the SYSTEM works. Of course I realized she had no clue what she was talking about so I requested to Speak to the "ACCOUNT SPECIALIST". "SANDY" Her first words were I don't know why this is doing this but I will Take care of this, the same thing SUSAN said on 04/03.
