So after reading what i wrote above I was going to list the things I actually DID get out of working at the Ivins Group...but since I posted this I've had a lot of things happen. I met my gf while working for Smart Circle and TIG and she has gotten a lot of emails from the receptionist at the Ivins group. Now I don't mind if you send emails being upset about this...thats ok I understand. But there were two things that were really out of line that she did. 1. My girl friend has cancer so the receptionist thought it was a good idea to make fun of her for having cancer. There's things you can do to people but that is in NO WAY ok ever. Is ok if I leave you emails ripping on family members that have died? Cause I could? Would that be ok? 2. She set up a wanted ad on craigslist stating her name and that she was looking for a good time(aka sex). Now she left my girl friends old number so you would think it doesnt matter right? Well when my gf got a new phone and number she gave the old phone to a family friend that is 11 years old. So now this 11 year old kid has people calling them asking for sex. And the person from above who wrote the rebuttal. The only reason I stuck around was for Pirate season. Just like 99% of the people there. There were people there that had been around longer than me that stayed for Pirate season. And if you can say that I didn't succeed b/c I wasn't anygood at my job than that means 99.9% of the people working there didn't succeed. INCLUDING YOU! CAUSE YOU AREN'T THERE! And being that 99.9% of the people didn't succeed and even when they did they couldn't cut it as an owner I think I can handle that thanks! Being that there were only two interns. One didn't even sell anything and the other went from the internship to actually working for the company! So way to call me out buddy! So this is who you are going to be working with! The truth hurts with what I said but it IS the truth. I didnt lie in one word of what I said. And like I said its ok to be mad with what I said b/c it hurts the company but coming back and doing the things they did wasn't acceptable at all. If it's ok to make fun of people for being extremely sick then you must be a really good place to work for!

Okay, so what seems wrong with this picture - You are bad mouthing this company that you worked at for 6 months???? If you really made no money there, I really don't think you would have stuck around for a week let alone 6 months!! If you really hated a job that bad, would you have stuck around for 6 months? Did anybody hold a gun to your head and say you must show up for every Saturday, or for that matter that you must show up and stick around this job for 6 months! I think you just failed at your job miserably and instead of looking at yourself and saying why did I not succeed, you decided to write a boring, long winded report on YOUR poor, pathetic experience that you were dumb enough to stick around for 6 months. What were you waiting on, a money tree to all of a sudden grow right in front of you before you realized this was a great job? The funny thing is I just ended a summer internship there and actually know who you are. I think you just realized that this wasn't for you, but instead of swallowing your pride and finding another job that better suits you, you decide to go off on a company that gave you a lot of training, support, and education that you most likely did not have before. There was a reason that you accepted their offer and worked there for 6 months, you saw a lot of potential opportunity. I thought you were a pretty decent guy, I'm sure you probably could have gotten any job making $30k but you probably thought that you were worth more than $10-$12/hour, you do have a college degree after all. I definitely realized after two weeks that management in this company was not for me, but I saw everything that I could learn in this company and could not have asked for a better internship that paid me along the way while training me on marketing, sales and management techniques that I can take to any company. I just had to write in after realizing who you were and that you had the balls to write a report after you spent 6 months with a company and could have walked away at any time. It's a pretty cowardly move to blame a company for your failures when that company gave you nothing but support, friendship and the tools that one needs to succeed. Good luck with whatever you end up doing.
