I went to the Joint in March as a first time user of Chiropractic. I selected them because I needed service on the weekend and they were open.
I asked the receptionist if the Joint accepted insurance and she said no, but they had their own plan I could purchace.
We made a verbal aggrement that I would pay for six visits over 2 months and that any additional visits would cost ninteen dollars. I signed some personal history papers and I was treated. I used the service 3 more times that month, and I was charched 19 dollars for the forth visit. After the forth visit, I experienced numbness in my legs to I did not return for any more adjustments.
I reciieved my July bank statement and noticed that the Joint had continued to remove sixty dollars from my account each month since my origenal cash payment in March. I confronted the receptionist about this, and she claimed that I signed a contract allowing them to remove money from my account indefinately. This is a lie. I expect that their MO is to sell phony insurance to unsuspecting consumers, and I suspect that the language allowing them to steal from personal bank accounts is buried in small print in the personal history document. Beware of this Scam
