The Law Offices Of Gary Green " A People's Practice" LACHES is going to cost me MONEY! What a Rip-off! Austin Texas
I need to preface this by saying that Gary Green personally was NOT my attorney and I had NO attorney-client relationship with him. I do not know him except for the fact that he put his name on this law firm which, in my opinion, does NOT reflect well on him after what happened to me.
The SOLE time I saw him, he looked down on me like I was a homeless guy asking for spare change and all I was doing was sitting in his office with my medical bills neatly in a manilla file folder and I was neatly dressed.
On the business card I have, it said "The law Offices of Gary Green Inc. "A People's Practice."
It is "little people" like me that make is possible for the members of the legal profession to be able to wear the designer suits and expensive shoes and drive the big cars.
If they only wanted to represent rich, white, yuppies you should have SPECIFIED it and I can GUARANTEE you would NEVER have had me contact such a law firm in the first place.
Guess I am just not " a people."
Just another Mexican wetback wanting something for nothing? I wonder if that is what they thought. They had a bilingual Paralegal/ Receptionist but we spoke English the two or three times I was there actually in their office ( which used to be a Auto Lube store that had vehicle service bays in it.)
In fact, I wonder WHY they DID agree to handle my case and then do what they did to me... I HAD MY DOCUMENTATION!
I had a personal injury case with documentary evidence to show that I had sustained an injury and genuine medical bills to back me up.
I called around and FINALLY found a personal injury attorney who AGREED to take my case. We all know that personal injury attorneys take cases on contingencies that means if THE CLIENT doesn't get paid, the ATTORNEY doesn't either.
No one contacted me unless I CALLED THEM!
They never even wrote a DEMAND LETTER to the place where I was injured. In fact, I doubt if tehy did anything at all except make photocopie of my bills and put them in their file.
They NEVER even did a Client intake interview with me face to face or ask what sort of documentation did I have or the exact nature of the injury.
I don't know why they dragged it out and the bills kept accumulating and went into collection before they told me that they WOULD NOT TAKE MY CASE!
We got a name for that where I come from IT IS CALLED LACHES!
"Damnation by procrastination" -- that means they drag out in any action in the case because they dont' give a d**n, can't handle it effectively, are too lazy to use the information they do have or they are hoping that the statute of limitations will run out so they don't have to do a thing.
And THAT is what LACHES means. I think it is Latin.
I KNOW it is Bullstuff and there is a LOT of that since Tort Reform!
By the time they dropped my case, NOBODY ELSE WOULD TAKE IT BECAUSE IT WAS CONSIDERED TOO LATE.
GUESS THEY WOUDLN'T HAVE MADE ENOUGH MONEY TO BUY A MERCEDES OR CADILLAC SUV!
All I wanted was MY MEDICAL BILLS PAID since you can not get any monetary satisfaction because of the TORT REFORM!
So I will save everyone the trouble if they think they are going to get a SETTLEMENT from anything else besides a rear-end traffic accident ...IF YOU CAN GET AN ATTORNEY TO EVEN LISTEN TO YOU MUCH LESS HANDLE YOUR CASE.
NOW I AM HAVING TO GO PRO SE with WEEKS to spare before the Statue of Limitations runs out!
When these people violated the Attorney- Client relationship and did the LACHES, they violated any obligation on my part concerning confidentiality and recommending them to the general public!
AND I CERTAINLY DO NOT!
I have also noticed that the firm doesn't advertise as much as they used to...
because nobody here would take the case and the MARKETPLACE and WORD OF MOUTH has a way of taking care of these "problems."
SO DOES RIP-OFF REPORT!
I SURE WOULD LIKE TO GET A GOOD GENERAL PRACTICE ATTORNEY TO REPRESENT ME IN TRAVIS/ WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS!

THERE IS ANOTHER ATTORNEY IN THE LAW OFFICE THAT GARY GREEN USED TO HAVE.
SO IT IS NO LONGER AN EMPTY LAW OFFICE.
THE NEW TENANT IS YANNI FUNK, ATTORNEY AT LAW.
HE HAS HIS OWN WEBSITE WHICH YOU CAN GOOGLE.
I HAVE NOT HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO RETAIN HIM SO FAR.
I HAVE SEEN SOME OF HIS COMMERCIALS ON CABLE TV AND ACCORDING TO THEM, HE HANDLES PERSONAL INJURY CASES.

I was surprised when I drove past the old location of Gary Green's Law Office and saw that his name was no longer on the sign. All it said was " LAW OFFICE.
I hope that nothing bad happened to him even though I am in a bad way financially which I would not have been had he taken my case as his associate attorney originally agreed to take. I found out could have filed a complaint with the Texas Bar Association but why should I bother because sooner or later word would have gotten out about that incompetent hussy.
It was not Gary Green's fault. I wish I could have talked with him.
Did his law office sign sustain storm damage or vandalism or did he go out of business or move his law offices -- they were hard to get to from Ih 35 North.
