I am going through the exact same problem that many people all over the country are going through. The more I look into it, the more research I gather, the more ill I become.

It is obvious that The Law Offices of Richard A. Brennan and all of it's associates are out to take people's money. Please do not make the same mistake I did.

I signed up with this service in July of 2006. I was referred to them by Christian United. I sent them all the documents they needed, and I figured they would start working on what I hired them to do, which is help me get out of debt.

Well, now it is December of 2006, and I found out that The Law Office of Richard A. Brennan has not made one single payment to any of my creditors. I have been paying them 236.00 every month on time.

Now, all of my credit cards have been sent into collections. None of them will work with me, and I just don't know what else to do. I just don't want anything more to do with them.

I have called and called them a million times. Their voicemail box is either too full, and when I do get to leave a message no one ever returns my call.

I have sent them faxes, letters and emails, and no word.

I even went as far as try to contact the Maryland State Bar Association, and you'd think the whole state was

in on it.

I live in CA, and they explained to me that Brennan's office is legitimate, but there is not much I could do unless I made an appointment and went to speak in person to both to Brennan's office and the bar association.

Like I can afford that. I have also tried to speak to local lawyers and they seem to think that because the money they have taken from me is not that great, (it is to me) I really don't have a case.

What I'm thinking is that we should all unite. Maybe start of a civil action suite against these people. If there are enough players, and we all get together than maybe are voices can be heard.

You may be able to get a partial refund on your initial deposit with United Christian Financial. They were aquired by Fidelity Reserves. They were very helpful when I contacted them and sent out a refund (less $75) promptly.

United Christian Financial did not refer clients to my law office. They were referred to a Non profit credit counseling agency my law office represented. Those clients of the non profit were placed with another agency from July 15 through November 1, 2006. We sent out no less than 12 notices via email and USPS to the client addresses supplied to us by the agency. We do not and cannot send out payments for credit counseling clients. Our office represents debtors in settling of their debts, filing bankruptcy, or defending them against creditor actions. We encourage Ms. Yecencia to contact us immediately because she is not a client of the law office and apparently need immediate assistance and direction.
