My name is Jacinta and I own a small grant writing business. I was contacted by a potential customer name Pamela Pelletier. She claimed that she was going to start a small dog grooming service in Center Hill, Florida and found my ad on Craigslist.org and contacted me. At first this seemed a little odd, because I advertised on Craigslist in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area and she was calling from Florida.
I quoted her a price and I never heard from her again. Then I found my business on the web and a few links down was this link to the Rip-Off Report claiming that my business was a scam and I collect people's information and use it for bad things.
The next day I get an email from "Ryan" at "The Reputation Store" and he claims that he can bury this bad listing of my company "deep" within the search engines so that "no-one" will ever find it.
Of course there is a charge for these services and when you don't respond to them, you start to get similar complaints using complaints.com and the Rip-Off Report.
I called the reputation store back and asked to speak to this "Ryan" fellow and a lady answered the phone. Her voice sounded very familiar. She identified herself as "Jessica" and was about to connect me to "Ryan" when something asked me to call her Pamella. Sure enough, she responded and I lost it! These people are scam artists and they post these invalid reports against your company to provide you with a service that does not really work only to get more money off you.
Even yet, they don't even have the common sense to use different names! Be aware of "Ryan" and "Pamela Pelletier," they are scam artists.
I have since contacted a lawyer and found out through a private investigator that she resides in Center Hill, Florida and I am gearing on filing a lawsuit for defamatory comments against my company. I am a single mom, that tries to provide a good life for my kids. My husband died in the Afghan war, and it's not like I got pregnant and started collecting welfare. I tried to make the American Dream work for me and this person has put a serious damper on my financial situation with my kids. More importantly, she is not even a citizen of the U.S. She is from Lima, Peru!
