Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I was the maid of honor in my best friend's wedding.  We went to pick out and ordered dresses for the wedding in November 2011.  All bridesmaids paid half the total of the dress on this day.  In mid-March 2012, we picked up our dresses.  I had noticed that the price I paid was higher than I expected.  After looking at the receipt, they had charged an extra $50 "rush fee."  There should not have been a rush fee on our dresses considering we ordered them 4 months prior.  After speaking with Misty, she refunded us all $50.

Eight days after picking up my dress in March (and paying the full amount), I see a charge made to my debit card WITHOUT my authorization of $103.  I made multiple phone call attempts to get in touch with the "layaways" person in charge.  One call a sales lady said that it was "not possible" to charge my card without physically having it.  I then said "well then I would like to speak to whoever stole my identity at your store."  She hung up on me.  I then called back and spoke to another girl who figured out that I had been charged the remainder on someone else's account balance.  She also felt that the only way I should be refunded/credited my money is if the other bridesmaid (who wasn't even the one who needed to pay) provided her card number so it could be charged.  I was fed up at this point and explained to her that what they did was illegal and she was going to put my money back on my card.  She agreed and I said "Don't you want my card number?" and she said "No, I have it. We keep them on file."  - WOW!  So, 5 days later I did have a credit made to my account and needless to say I called my bank ASAP to put a hold on any other debits they try to make.

The girl that was charged my amount is still fighting with them, even though she has all receipts showing she paid her full amount.  This business continues to be shady time and time again.  If a bridal/prom/formal shop really has to have law suits against it, then why do people continue to go back to them?  They also tried to have myself and the 2 other bridesmaids order a dress too large for us so they could do our alterations.  Too bad we ordered the smaller size and they fit perfectly.  I also think the $50 rush fee is probably put on a lot more accounts than what you think just to see if they can get away with making extra cash.  PLEASE, at all costs, do your business elsewhere.  There are other stores nearby and online that would be happy to have your business and treat you with courtesy and respect.  If you have to do business with them, pay by check only so you have a paper trail that they cannot make illegal changes to and keep ALL your receipts, because you will need them.  This is a shady business.
