The Training Associates TTA REFUSES TO PAY DOZENS OF ASSOCIATES 1000s OF $$ UPON SEPERATION West borough, Massachusetts
TTA, The Training Associates, contracted several hundred individuals to work for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. From the beginning we were given several weeks of work we were not paid for. As it turns out, our contract is a direct violation of employment law as defined by the IRS. TTA promised me a start date, and did not start until over a month later and passed up two other offers.
Once on the job, we, as contracted 1099 employees were forced to work 14-16 hours a day. It is a battle every pay period to get agreed reimbursement for expenses and days worked. Parameters of contract were not adhered to. Management violated the ADA. Management would harass contractors on a regular basis. TTA illegally made trades on MSSB systems. Trainers contracted by TTA would sexually harass staff at MSSB branches.
Since the mention of a class action law suit, anyone withholding or lacking knowledge to contractors involved are dismissed and TTA refuses to pay them for weeks of time and expenses. There are several of us that are owed between $5000-$10,000. Contractors are advised to lie to Morgan Stanley trainees about aspects of software TTA faied to correct and or train on.
TTA discloses private information regarding the client and confidential information about their practices. They are verbally abusive to contractors and turn over is very high. A law suit is now being brought against the company. What is a person to do??
