Hello,
First I'd like to say how much I love the monitor! It's a great value for the price.
Unfortunately, the rebate process through OnRebate.com has been horrendous.
I'm still waiting for my rebate. I purchased the monitor in December 2005
This is the summary of my experience:
I purchased an X2Gen 19" LCD Monitor in December 2005.
I filed for the rebate according to the rebate instructions on January 5th 2005.
On January 14th OnRebate emailed stating they didn't receive my rebate request.
On January 25th I received an email stating my rebate status had been updated with a link to click to check it out.
The update stated I didn't sign the form
On January 25 I emailed back to find out what then next step was.
On January 30th I emailed a second request asking the same question.
I received and email with a reference number stating someone will get back to me in 72 hr.
I'm still waiting.
On February 20th I filed a report on Rip-Off.com
ON March 2nd "Nadina" from On rebate posted a rebuttal stating all forms must be signed to show the consumer has agreed to Onrebates terms and that I should email her my info and she will get me my rebate.
Nadina didn't post an email address
On March 2nd I requested the email address.
Today is March 10th and I have not received a reply.
By using the onrebate site you are agreeing to the terms. It's spelled out in their privacy policy. Therefore, I agreed by virtue of using the site to submit my rebate.
Onrebates form has a check list of import things to check before sending in for your rebate. Consumer signature is not one of the things listed.
Onrebates tracking number for the correspondence is REF:FLGK2Q8DNCCBPJCU]
The most recent correspondence in the last few days involves a "Nadina" at Onrebate telling me to email her and she will tell me how to resubmit the rebate. She did not include her email in the correspondence. She provided it after I posted she didn't include her email address. I then emailed her and the email was returned. When I posted that she told me I had made a mistake in her address since she received other emails the same day. I copy and pasted the email address she posted.
Here is the bounce info from the email:

Joseph Dunne is an Officer/Director for Tiger Direct and Onrebate.com. Certainly this shows a connecttion between the businesses. This info can be found at Sunbiz.org, the Florida Corporation Portal. Tiger Direct and Onrebate have the same street address listed. Onrebate, however does not list a suite number. Tiger direct lists Suite 35. My next step is to contact the Florida Attorney General's office, the Ohio Attorney General's office and the Internet Fraud Complaint Center. I am also contacting the BBB in Ohio and Florida as well as the Chamber of Commerce in Miami Florida.
