Tint Barn Hendersonville NC Owner Marc La Que IF it sounds too good to be true.... Hendersonville, North Carolina
While this is not a true "repair" service the individual does offer auto services. Specifically window tinting and stereo installations.
My wife called about the "Any car tinted for $99.00 special." She was asked about the model of her car and etc. She was told if she came in and paid in advance (should have been the first clue) she would recieve a "preferred" appointment time.
When she went in the very next day, which happened to be March 1st, she was told that the $99.00 special was only for February (should have been the second clue). Soooo she paid $161.57 to get the car tinted. "Don't make the check out to the business, make it out to the owner Marc LaQue" Should have been the LAST Clue. Upon checking the bank account on line the check was cashed the same afternoon.
She was given a 10 AM "preferred" appointment time today Mar. 12. Upon arrival today at 9:45 she found the shop locked and no one around. By 10 AM the parking lot was full of people with "preferred" appointments. All at 10 AM, she talked to no less than ten individuals who had paid in advance.
At least three of these folks were there to get the " guaranteed satifaction" they were promised because the window tint film on their vehicles was peeling off. One gentleman had only had the tint
on his car less than a week.
After waiting, along with other dissatisfied, angry and downright pissed off folks for someone to show up or answer the phone, she gave up. After calling the phone number (once every 30 min) until after 5pm, she has come to the realization that Mr Marc Laque is a RIPOFF artist. Yes the web site looks very professionally done, the banner out front still says ANY CAR TINTED $99 and obivously people are still showing up and getting RIPPED OFF BY MARC LaQUE. "If it sounds too good to be true...."
