In December of 2006 I used buy.com to purchase an item. This service was apparently offered to me for a 1 month trial period for $1.00 (although I really don't remember agreeing to the service at all) After the 1 month trial period, I was not asked if I wanted to continue the service. The company, TLGEVRYDAY began deducting $11.99 from my checking account each month.

There was never any information provided as to how to contact the company to inquire about the fee. It was during my search this month that I found an 800 number to call and ask about the fee and what service it represented.

The customer service agent, Sharon, asked me for my account number. When I gave her the 3 digit number that follows the TLGEVRYDAY name, she could not locate the account. I provided her with my last name and she pulled up the record. She stated that I had signed up for this free trial period in December of 2006. She stated that the trial period had expired and thus the fee.

Sharon tried to talk me into using the company for coupons for hotels, food and other consumer products. I interrupted her at one point and told her that I didn't think she understood. That I had no faith in a company that would charge me a fee each month without even advertising what the fee was good for and that I wanted to immediately discontinue my membership. I also asked her for a refund during the course of our conversation, but she flatly told me that they would not honor that request.

I told Sharon that I would be reporting her company to the comsumer credit bureau.
