Activation Fees

I'm sorry that this came as a surprise as far as activation fees. For any line that is added to a T-Mobile account, a long with about every carrier that I am aware of, an activation fee is accessed. There are times during the year where promotions are noted and these fees are waived but the charge itself is not specific to any one customer or any one type of account. It's also noted in the contract signed when the service is started and at this point we also send a text message to make a customer aware that not only is the charge coming up but also that a line has been activated under their account. This is to assist them in making sure no fraudulent lines were opened on the account without their knowledge. We also waive these fees if the dealer at the store calls to verify that these were to be waived under their store if their is a store specific promotion going on. In all other circumstances these fees do apply. My suggestion, as with any contract that you agree to, always read the contract itself. Also, it doesn't hurt to ask the dealer whether they will waive your fee. If they won't you don't actually lose anything. If they agree have them call immedietly so that it can be noted by the store.
