I bought from them for the first time to avoid the high cost of cigars here in Hawaii. I was worried about how they would account for charging $25.00 for one carton of cigars.
I was right as I got the carton via USPS Priority Flat Rate Box with Delivery Confirmation. Thus, the cost of $10.95 plus .70 for delivery confirmation was over a 100% mark up for the actual cost of shipping.

We are very sorry for this misunderstanding.
TobaccoGeneral.com charges a flat shipping fee for all orders since there is no way for us to know exactly how many boxes will be used. Shipping charge for customers outside the continental US is $25.
It is true, if your order is very small, it will require only one box and the shipping will be less than $25. But if your order requires more than 2 boxes, it will cost over $30 while you are still paying only $25.
Due to the high volume of our orders, we are not able to contact every customer and adjust their shipping charges. This process is automated and we do not even know if the customer is over or undercharged for the shipping.
What some of our customers do is they contact us by email or phone and we do a shipping adjustment for them upon request.

P.S. The customer that submitted the above complaint was refunded after contacting our customer service department.
