On December 10th I ordered ONE Tobi clothes steamer. I received TWO. I immediately emailed Tobi to inform them of the mistake but got no response. I also called their customer service department and was told the second steamer would make a nice Christmas gift. I called and emailed seveal times getting no help from either.

I returned the second steamer, following the directions on their shipping invoice to ship it back to them, which cost me an additional $52.60. My account has now been charged 3 times. The last charge was done 3 weeks after they received their merchandise back.

I spent almost an hour on the phone with their wonderful customer service department tonight. I spoke with a customer service rep named Robin SMITH, and then the manager Calvin SMITH.......now doesn't that sound believable? THey refuse to give a phone number or actual address of the corporate office. While on the phone with them tonight, they said that I ordered two steamers and a few minutes later they admitted that their online ordering system was having trouble and doubling orders. And then argue that they aren't responsible for the shipping cost to return the steamer that THEY sent in error.

They even tried to argue that they had not receieved the steamer through the US Postal service, for which I have confirmation that they did received it. Finally, they agreed that they have the merchandise in their possession.

We are awaiting a phone call from someone from upper management, which I am certain will NEVER happen.

I plan to file complaints wth as many organizations as I can find including the Attorney Generals Office.

I wanted to update my complaint regarding The TOBI USA. I FINALLY got the credits for Tobi's screw up....even for the cost for return shipping for the 2nd steamer they sent in error. I see there are several other consumers out there that are having similar problems. Here's what I did.....maybe it will help you...... I filed complaints ONLINE with the Better Business Bureau and with the California Attorney General's office. I also contacted my bank regarding the charges on my credit card. Dont wait too long if this is how you paid...there is a time limit to dispute the charges. Amazingly enough I got a response within days of submitting my complaints. It took a few emails with this person to get the money that I deserved.....But I did it. HOPE THIS HELPS
