Tobiko Sushi restaurant in Valley Stream

Tobiko Sushi restaurant in Valley Stream represents more than just a poor dining experience, that would have been better expressed on Yelp.  No, what my wife and I experienced, was a true rip-off and rudeness of the highest order.  We went in to have dinner and ordered off their 17.99 all you can eat menu.  The food came and I noticed that the sushi was truly getting dark and nasty around the edges of the tuna.  It was dark pink around the edges and warm to the touch.  it gave off a fishy smell. This was not tuna 1 or ahi or sushi grade tuna.  Not wanting to cause a fuss, I ordered a pad Thai, which both my wife and I tasted and agreed it lacked any flavor nor peanut sauce, and was indeed worse than out of the box food town stuff.

Since it was truly sub par fish I requested to speak to a manager.  I didn't want to make a scene so I explained honestly that I had worked in the import and export of fish prior to being an attorney, and that the sushi was not good.  I gave him my card so he knew i wasnt trying to rip them. I stated I would gladly pay the 18 for my wife and he could even charge me something for the three bites I took, but he got rude.  Johnny was sayin, "lets go see the cameras and see what you ate" and "hurry up or ill call the police." Finally, he says ok i will see what i can do, and acted like he was goin to take something off thebill, but when i looked i saw he billed us for the whole thing.  it wasnt about the $ but johnny didnt get that.  i cannot believe he works in the service industry. He then strangely  followed us out and oddly took down the license plate of our car.  Maybe he is used to treating people this way, but this is not how you treat people in the serviwe industry.  How do I know the fish was questionable? Well, I worked at Pierless Fish Corporation in Brooklyn  Ny sending fish to some of the finest restaraunts in Nyc like Per Se and Blue Ribbon to help pay my way through law school.  I learned a hard lesson, never eat sushi at Tobiko Sushi restaurant in Valley Stream, perhaps they will learn not to treat their customers so rudely.  Btw if you look on yelp, you will see multiple references to the rude manager and the fact that they try to rip people off, like the guy that said Johnny said he would honor the coupon deal he brought but then tried to charge them full price on the check.
