Complaint Review: Together Dating - Trenton New Jersey

I saw signs in the grass in my area for EWING SINGLES.com. I live in Trenton, New Jersey. I went online and it was a form I filled out and the next day someone called me. I was told they were a dating agency and was told they were the best. Sounded good enough for me. I have tried online dating for over a year with no luck. So I thought I needed to try something better.

The lady over the phone talked to me for an hour. Very thorough. I was very impressed. I believed this company does good screening. I met her at my assigned time of my appointment. She kept me for over 3 hours. I thought this was very thorough and was told how the Matches made there are so good they have nationally 3 weddings per day every day all year around because of their services. No way to confirm this. But it sounded great! Also no prices were volunteered but I figured this is PROFESSIONAL so figured that would be discussed at the end and there was no problems.

This lady was like a psychologist and she asked me questions about my entire life. She was good. Hypnotic almost. Full of compliments which I was starving for. Then she asked for my drivers license and major credit card so she could run the background checks. Okay. Makes sense I thought. She leaves and returns with a sheet with prices.

There are 4 levels of dating. $10,000 for the best level, then $8,000, then $6,000, and finally for the economy package $4,000. She said after talking with me and completely understanding me "financially" she felt it was BEST for me to choose the economy plan. And she kept EMPHASIZING she does NOT work for commission and she does this out of the goodness of seeing people find their loved ones. I told her, I wish I had $4,000 but I physically did NOT have that amount on my credit card. She almost whispered, and she told me very politely and hypnotically that she REALLY LIKED ME and JUST FOR ME it would only be $2,000 and she would THROW IN one more match for half the price. I told her I still did not like the price.

She was VERY UNDERSTANDING. The lady is practically a SAINT. And because she liked me, she lowered the price to $1,200 and removed 2 matches. I told her no, still too much. She said she has to make a phone call and pull some strings, so she stepped out of the room for 5 minutes. She returned and said, the best she can do is $800 and I can divide this up among however many credit cards I wanted. RIGHT THERE I WAS ANGRY. This had to be a scam I thought. How could a company go from $4,000 to $800?!?! This was wrong. I felt it. I told her I was absolutely NOT going to pay any money today and just stared at her, as if to say NOW WHAT!!!

She became VERY ANGRY. She insulted me, told me I wasted her time, and I quietly got my coat and walked out without another word. By the time I got home, she left a NASTY phone message on my machine (which I still have as a WAVE file on my PC). She said she was GLAD it worked out this way because I was just a LIAR and that her company does NOT WANT "my kind" of client. She was very nasty. Wow!!! T

hen the next day I found this website. Boy am I glad I got a bad feeling and suddenly became angry and said, "NO MONEY TODAY FOR YOU LADY!!!" I found out when I arrived that their name was TOGETHER DATING. But originally they were advertised where I live as Ewing Singles (ewingsingles.com). Both are the same in my area.
