I have worked for several agencies. They would work me for a little while, then would slowly stop calling. I would go to websites that mass produce staffing agencies and would find that my staffing agency is posting a job that I am qualified for. I got smart and would call and you know what my excuse would always be? "oh that was already filled". Oh really? well then why was it posted this morning?! I stayed on their toes! Now im going back to school, going to avoid all of that. I do not trust staffing agencies, I would rather just find my own interviews!!

I know EXACTLY what Karl is talking about! TRC Staffing in Atlanta, GA does this to me for 2 WHOLE YEARS! Well one particular one named Phyllis! Caught her BIG when a worker from another branch worked there and told me there were many customer service positions and told me to call back to speak with Phyllis at 1:00. Called back at 1:00 and Phyllis claimed she don't "remember" any jobs! She did this to me for two years and she was caught big time! I reported her to HER boss!

I was reading your complaint that everytime you called the temp agency they said no work available. What are they discriminating against? Your complaint doesn't say. It is not uncommon for a temp agency to say they have no work available, which is why they are called TEMP....Hopefully you registered with more than one. Have you had someone you know to call and see if they respond differently? Yes I agree, the economy is not good at all, atleast not where I am located...That is why the expression is used "never put all your eggs in one basket". Good luck to you,
