Hi guys,
I worked for a company in belfast called topaz promotions. Thers 2 parts to it the other is called dcg marketing.
When i first applied for the job, they didnt tell me i was going to be working on comission only based salary. I assumed i was getting a wage. Apparently they dont tell anyone unless they ask. Then they make you fill ouy a contract, this just states that you are self employed and so forth.
Once your tarining is complete, the self employed bit goes out the window, i thought whwn you were self employed you got to choose your own working hours. But not here, the hours of work are 11 til 9 monday to friday. If you dont want to work the hours then you get sacked. You also have a target of 10 sales to hit each week, if the 10 is not achieved by friday then you have to work saturday until you hit the set target.
You get paid 50 A SALE. But you only get 35 in your hand then you get the rst back in 4 months, but if any of your customers cancel then the money is never seen again.
HERES THE BEST BIT.
I told them i was leaving the company, that was all ok, But when i went to get my wages she told me that they weren't giving them to me because i left, so they held my wages for 4 months without giving them to me.
I thought this was illegal, but apparently because i was self employed i didnt have a leg to stand on.
