8/31/2018 We (Mclaughlin Trucking 619312) called TQL 800-580-3101 load number 392554 about a load they had available in Palmer, MA for a truck that we had available in Avon, MA.  My dispatcher David spoke to either a Wes or Les and got the details on the load which was a load of lumber under 27000 lbs that did not have to be tarped.  he then explained that we had a stepdeck and Wes or Les said that was not a problem that they could load a stepdeck.  David then asked what the loading times were and Wes or Les replied they loaded till 4pm est.  David then asked Wes or Les if he was sure because it was the friday prior to Labor day and alot of the businesses were shutting down early and Wes or Les replied yes he was absolutly sure.  Wes or Les and David then talked about the rate.  David asked for $1500.00 and Wes or Les replied that he could not do $!500.00 he could do $1400.00.  David then agreed to his rate. 

Then the phone lines here at our office started ringing and David asked if he could put Wes or Les on hold for a minute to answer the line and put them on hold and come right back to him.  Wes or Les replied yes.  David put Wes or Les on hold and answered 2 lines and put them on hold.  then went back to line 1 903-577-8317 and Wes or Les had put him on hold.  David was on hold for about 1 minutes and when Wes or Les came back on he said that he had booked that load with another carrier while he was on hold.  David asked him several times if he was joking and he said no.  David then said he was first and Wes or Les had agreed to our rate and accepted our truck. Wes or Les said sorry but i already booked that load and he would not give it to us.  We are one of TQL's top carriers because we always pickup on time and deliver ontime. 

We have had issues with TQL before booking loads with us and then calling us sevral hours later or even a day later and cancelling the load saying that their customer cancelled the load.  Most of the time we have already gotten our Rate Confirmation and all the pickup info and we have called their customer to verify this and they have told us no it was infact still going.  So we have just blown it off then we dont haul for TQL again for 30 days. But this time they pretty much screwed us because of the holiday weekend.  If as a carrier we do this to them they refuse to load us because of us falling off a load that we booked with them.  We will treat them the same way from now on as they treat us.  We always stand behind our word. 

I have included all information about the altercation that has transpired today so that no one can say i am lying.  it can all be verified.  my number is included in this complaint so anyone that would like to discuss this please feel free to call us.
