I wonder about those dodge pick-ups? They're selling the $28,000 dodge PU's for $17,999 here in town. From what I understand, they're dogs AND they can't give 'em away. The bigger the engine, the harder they are to sell. You shouldn't have been driving an unsafe vehicle, you could have killed someone besides yourself, so that's on you. What do you expect when you "slam the peddle to the floor"? Good gas mileage? Two characteristics of bad driving; "slammed on my breaks to avoid a collision", following to close and "slam the peddle to the floor". That's alot of slamming. Typical scumbag car dealer.

Ok, I understand you're angry after purchasing a brand new vehicle and not being satisfied with it, but there are a few things that you need to take responsibility for. First of all, didn't you research vehicles before buying one? If you've had Dodge trucks before, you know they don't get good gas mileage. My husband has a Dodge Ram and the gas mileage sucks. Not Towbin's fault. Secondly, first step in car buying is ALWAYS check to see what the blue book value of the car you're interested in. You should have been armed with this information before ever setting FOOT in a dealership. Of course, you're not going to get a car at blue book value, the dealer has to make *some* profit, but you would have been in a much better position having this information handy when it comes to the negotiating table. Again, not Towbin's fault. As for the inherent problems with the vehicle (windows, brakes), the dealer should be willing (and required) to take care of these issues immediately. If not, contact Dodge directly. If you still don't get satisfactory assistance, a trip back to the dealer, expressing your disgust LOUDLY in the showroom might bring results! As for them not paying off your trade right away, there's no excuse for that. Just got lost in the shuffle of paperwork I'm sure. It sucks though, that your credit was affected. You can always put a note on your credit report (this is free) stating what happened, so that when potential creditors see it, they know it wasn't something you had any control over. Good luck to you.
