Look up the ACORN non-profit housing advocate site on the internet. Wells Fargo is listed as a predatory lender. ACORN organized a protest against Wells Fargo on May 7, 2003. They might be able to help you recover your fee. Good luck!

Evidently, the person who first took my application over the phone had to write the info down, and input it into the system later - lo and behold, she substituted my address for someone else's. So as I said, I never rec'd anything, and the Manager who called me was highly apologetic about the whole thing, and can't understand why someone didn't check the address. (Hmm, ME TOO especially when I spelled it out in email for "Ashika.") I reminded her that when you're an existing WF customer, you have to GIVE THEM your existing loan number, which probably would have told them soon enough had they bothered to check. Ripoff Report, thanks for letting me post here! I don't know if anything occurred on your end to motivate this along other than allowing me to post it, and if you did DOUBLE THANKS :)
