Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

My husband and I purchased a new construction home in Smithtown on June 10, 2016 from a builder, Nick Motta. (Owner of Affordable Cesspools) Within a few months we started having issues with our Navien heating system shutting itself down at random. The builder, Nick Motta, had been incarcerated between April 2016 and June 2017 for an arson related crime so I had to take matters into my own hands. All I can say is, what has been discovered, is truly unimaginable!

Without getting into too much detail, we were given a certificate of occupancy which was falsified by the town. The plumbing inspector along with chief building director, the fire marshal, the public safety chief, John Valentine and his staff, and now with further inspection, the electrician and the electrical inspector/electrical underwriter as well, have all been involved in some type of “collusion” within my home which has put my family’s safety at risk. They have allowed my home to “slip through the cracks” for unknown reasons. Because of their negligence, my family has been living in a “house of horrors”, not only dangerous to us, but potentially dangerous to the neighborhood as well.

I have foiled my files along with the files of my neighbor. (Due to a harassment issue within the public safety dept. and the tenant who rents an illegal apartment who just happens to be on the public safety payroll) In turn, due to my complaints, I have been harassed, watched, followed, and given unreasonable demands by the public safety division. I have proof and photos of all these accusations as well as documented inspections from privately hired inspectors, licensed plumbers, electricians, HVAC contractors, and electrical underwriters.

These complaints have unfortunately fallen on deaf ears and we have essentially been thrown to the wolves. These incompetent employees continue to be employed and receive paychecks with the help of my tax dollars, but refuse to fix their mistakes. This has been an extremely frustrating, stressful, costly and time consuming experience for myself and my family.
