The perpetrators: Joe, the shifty-eyed mechanic who won't look you straight in the face because it will give him away; Patrick, the phoney "aw shucks" front counter guy who answers the phone and pretends to commiserate with the customers; and, the owner (an elderly, short guy--can't remember his name. He clearly views his customers as "chattel"). These people told me I needed to have my C/V axle boot clamps replaced, so I left my car with them. They claimed to have done the repair and took my money but did not do ANYTHING. Shortly after this, another shop (an honest one) told me I still needed to have this repair done. Before I had Toyotechs figured out, I went back to them again when my car didn't start. Toyotechs told me this time that I needed to have a $4600 repair done. (Yes, $4600!!) They said I needed to replace my catalytic converter AND my transmission for a total of $4600. I subsequently had a wire fixed by the helpful and honest Randall Byrd at Aamco on Covington Hwy in Decatur, Ga., and the battery replaced by World Toyota. These two repairs altogether cost me $649. There was NEVER anything wrong with either my catalytic converter or my transmission.  The people at Toyotechs are NOTHING but big-time crooks! I was SO naive. I thought Toyotechs was the "answer" to going to the dealer, World Toyota, located just a few miles away. I was SO wrong. Anyone who is reading this: Watch out for these scammers! You have been warned!!
