Toyota of Rockwall has become this town's dirty little secret. Thank goodness for alerts and websites that allow victims to warn other potential victims. I read a blog last night on concerning this dealer. You can also Google TOR and read reviews. I happen to be at this dealership getting repairs on two different occasions when all hell broke lose in the service department and in the new car sales parking lot so I know there are more than a few angry customers. I called to verify the previous story about the CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION. The Texas Department of Transportation verified that there is a pending investigation against said dealer. You may call 512 416-4800. The dealer is being accusing of selling damage vehicles, failure to disclose accurate and true information concerning their used inventory's. I was advised by Attorney General of Texas that you have to write to them for records. All records are sealed until the investigation has been completed, after the verdict they will fall under Texas Open Records Law. After personal dissatisfaction with the dealer concerning my own repairs and watching a soap opera in the parking lot, I will use caution. The point of this post is that there is in fact a criminal investigation going on so buyer beware. Not to mention that TOYOTA just had the largest recall in History and as time goes on NONE of us are sure how safe our Toyota's are. The recall facts seem to changed daily.

treated Tori when she went there to buy a car. That publicly held dealer group is SONIC AUTOMOTIVE. Their symbol on the stock exchange is- SAH. They own several Toyota dealerships in the USA. Less than a year and a half after that Dateline NBC under-cover video was exposed on National TV, two of Sonic's dealers were exposed in a 3-part under-cover investigation on 9NEWS in Denver Colorado. One of the dealerships was "Don Massey Pontiac/Buick/GMC". The other was "Mountain States Toyota".

When you file a report on this site you open yourself up to comments so get used to it - Don't like it - don't file a report
As to Attorneys in this State charging $300 an hour that is a broad view - some do and some don't - I know because MY attorney charges less
I also want to know where the information about this company being under investigation is and how do you know this - I await your witty repartee

Dear Troll a.ka Unfocused??
In TEXAS it is against the law to sell wrecked, flooded, salvaged etc. vehicles without disclosing the information!! When a customer buys a car from a brand new Toyota Dealership one would assume that they would be dealing with a reputable establishment.
Who the hell are you to make a comment to me? I am the victim and had my friend helped me with this alert. The sale was considered A DECEPTIVE CRIMINAL ACT IN TEXAS. My point was to bring attention that damaged, worthless cars are being sold with the intent to commit fraud. This vehicle cannot be repaired because it has STRUCTURAL DAMAGE. The dealer presented a fake or fraudulent CARFAX report that didn't include the car's actual history, insurance claims and collisions reports. On a more focused rant...The dealer tried to repair the car at least 5 times and had the vehicle in the service department for at total of 17 days. All of this occurred within the first 2 weeks of purchase. The dealer wanted me to pay him $4000.oo to take the car back since the CARFAX BUY BACK GUARANTEE IS WORTHLESS. In addition to the $2000.oo extended warranty which refuses to pay for any repairs!!! Yes I was ripped off and a CRIME WAS COMMITTED!!! TO FURTHER ENLIGHTEN YOU... Attorneys in Texas charge $300.00 an hour SIR... SO MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS... This board is to warn folks, not your private stalking grounds.....

I asume that there is a fact here somewhere. But this rant is so unfocused that I really get the impression that 1st: the dealer sold a car that was damaged and failed to disclose 2nd: the poster has a personal axe to grind but I don't see why? every thing seems to have happened to someone else and I don't see how the poster was personally ripped off? Oh well hopefully he feels better now.
