Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Used tracfone for a couple of years.  Bought an old very uncomplicated little phone.  Decided to buy a second phone.  The one I bought from the store wouldn't charge.  Called Tracfone technical.  They sent me a replacement (refurbished) I got it in 5 days.  The phone was defective.  I called tech and complained they sent me another refurbished phone.  This phone did not work either.  Went to a store and bought a $10.00 replacement phone cause now I the minutes and my phone number were on a defective phone.  It would have been easy to simply activate the new phone with a new number, but I wanted my original number and the minutes that were on my original now defunct cell phone.

It took four telephone calls to tech department to resolve my issue.  Even though the issue was resolved I did not get my old original phone number and even though I got the minutes I did not get the carry over time I had built up.  I'm done with tracfone when these minutes I paid are gone, I will never do business with this company again.

The first two phone calls my connection was mysteriously lost so I had to call back and start all over again. The third person activated the new phone, but lied saying the minutes from my old phone would be transfered to my new phone in an hour.  The last call in which I got my minutes transfered lasted 1 hr and 9 minutes.  I was put on hold 15 times.  I used a cell phone during the transactions with the technical department at Tracfone and the last call cost $18.00 in Verizon time.  That's literally a dollar a day in phone time. The other two calls lasted 10 to 15 minutes each and I do not even want to do the math.

Each service individual was difficult to understand because of a language barrier.  Making it necessary to repeat the information repeatedly.   Each individual tried to handle the problem in a different unnecessarily lengthy manner.

I'm totally hacked with Tracfone and will take every opportunity to warn customers and potential customers about this company.   I wasn't offered any recompense to make up for the expense in the form of a bonus minutes or anything like that.  This is not a company to do business with.

I understand a law was passed to make it possible to keep an original number.  These people make that very difficult and expensive.

They violate the Do Not Call List

Haven't had any real issues with thier service in the past. However, they leave annoying recorded messages on my answering machine when my Tracphone minutes are about to expire or have expired. This is in direct violation of the Do Not Call list which my land line phone number is on.

Tired of it and will never use this company again.

Just get a normal cell phone from a major carrier!

Why would you even mess around with these loser services?? It's just stupid. The costs are outrageous, and the service is poor.

TracFone costs DOUBLE what any standard service costs overall.

These pre-paid services are designed for LOSERS.

Sprint, AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile are the 4 major carriers. I use Sprint and can guarantee you that my overall cost per minute to use the service is about HALF the cost of your TracFone plan.
